My First Haul!

Hello lovelies, so I did a bit of shopping recently and decided that I would post a haul for you. I was waiting for my second sephora order to come in before I posted, it came today and now I am posting. So everything here is from Sephora except for one product, but you will probably be able to pick it out when you see it. Anyway, I will get right into the products!

Sephora Rose eye mask - I chose this because I who doesn't want bright undereyes? Also because I wanted to try one and this seemed like the one to get.

Sephora Lotus Sleeping Mask - I got this because even though it looks small, these come with a lot of product in them. That being said, I would recommend that you have something to depot it into because you can't reseal this once you've opened it.

Sephora Precision Pore Cleansing Pad - I bought this so I can get some extra bonus bag, I honestly expected it to be a bit bigger. I didn't get this for my face I got it instead to help e clean my brushes because my hands are way too dry right now to have them in the water as long as it takes to deep clean my brushes. I have used it that way and it was great! Made the cleaning process so much faster!

Sephora Instant De-puffing roll on gel - I wanted to try a new eye cream and this wasn't too expensive. I like that it has the little roller balls on it. Is it working miracle? None that I can tell instantly, but I will continue to use it.

Fresh soy cleanser and rose-clay masque - I decided to go with this as my birthday gift because I wasn't excited about the color of the Marc Jacobs lipstick. Also I love masks so why wouldn't I get this?

Yu-Be lip balm - I heard this had good reviews, and not that I actually need any more lip balms but I feel like I have been moving through them so why not get some new ones.

Milani Powder Blush in Romantic Rose - I really hate myself for waiting so long to get this. It has got to be the most beautiful blush I own. I feel like I don't even need to wear bronzer when I wear this because of how beautiful it is. It is a muted color that still shows up on my cheeks, but at the same time it is kind of hard to go overboard with it, which if you have ever seen my blush work....I always have to go over it with my powder brush to tone it down haha. Aside from the fact that the color is perfect for people with fairer skin, the packaging is gorgeous and I can't stop saying wonderful things about this blush and you need to just go buy it already.

Benefit They're Real Tinted Primer - I like the original mascara from this line, so I am excited to give this a try. I have a mascara the same size and look forward to using them together. Maybe I'll do a post on it!

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve - I have heard so much about this lately and I really wanted to give it a go. The color seems right up my ally and I am hoping that the formula isn't too drying.

Smith's Rosebud Salve Balm - Have also heard really good things about this. I am a lip balm junkie. Hope it works well!

Panning my Shadows January Update and a Decision

Hello lovelies, I decided that I don't want to have monthly goals of hitting pan on specific shadows anymore. I feel like I am still limiting myself to what I can use. I like to switch my palette and shadows up usually weekly, which isn't enough time to hit pan on a shadow, but also sometimes every couple of days. What I have decided to do instead is just update you all when I do my updates for the Makeup Use Up. My goal is still 24 eyeshadows. I have hit pan on all three of the ones that were a part of my goal for this month, but I found that I didn't enjoy using them as much as I would typically because I was just trying to use them for the sake of hitting pan. This will just be one less thing to update you all on month to month because I do feel like that is filling up my posts, and I want to start posting more content than just updates.

Hope no one minds the change, but it is just what I decided needs to happen because I want to actually enjoy my eye shadows and palettes, which is why I didn't try to pan a palette to begin with. Happy panning everyone!

My Collection - Maybelline Color Tattoos

Hello lovelies, I decided that I wanted to give you all an insight into my collection because I feel like you are only seeing what is in my project pans, and quite frankly not everyone loves those posts, so I need to add a little more variety. Today I have my Maybelline 24 hr. Color Tattoos. I own 9 of them. I will say that no one really needs this many of these because they take forever to get through. In fact, once I get through all of these there are only 3 that I would repurchase, and that is more because I don't need the colors not because I don't like the formula. The formula happens to be one of my favorites honestly. They last an incredible amount of time on my eyes without creasing at all. The color selection is also a big win for me. I like these because they work great as bases underneath eyeshadow to really enhance the color, but they also look beautiful on their own.

Top L-R: Audacious Asphalt, Bad to the Bronze, Icy Mint
Middle L-R: Tough as Taupe, Edgy Emerald, Inked in Pink
Bottom L-R: Barely Branded, Electric Blue, Deep Forest
I have a really solid color variety. I have purchased these over many years. The Bad to the Bronzze color is the first one I bought. Barely Branded you will see has the most use out of it, you may have recognized it from a couple of project pans that I have done (it is currently in one!). People have complained that these dry out, however all it takes to revive them is a bit of mixing with a toothpick. That is what I did with Bad to the Bronze and it works like new. When I revived Barely Branded I spritzed it with my ELF Mist and Set, but that isn't really necessary. It worked, but I felt that it made it too creamy after that.

L-R: Deep Forest, Electric Blue, Barely Branded, Inked in Pink, Edgy Emerald, Tough as Taupe, Icy Mint, Bad to the Bronze, Audacious Asphalt
Deep Forest I bought and I was a bit disappointed in it because it wasn't as green as I thought it would be, but it was on sale so I don't mind the couple of dollars that I spent on it. Electric Blue I have used as eyeliner and it is absolutely beautiful that way. Really intense and a nice change from using a standard black eyeliner. Edgy Emerald, I wish I used this more. I bought it for a specific look, my sister-in-law has used it more than I have. I wanted to like Tough as Taupe more than I do, but the reality of it is that I do warmer looks so I don't use it too much. Also it was a lot darker than I had anticipated. Icy Mint I ordered on amazon because it was a limited edition color and I really needed it. However the formula of this one is different than the others I have tried, by that I mean I had to really build up the swatch to get it to show up. Audacious Asphalt is so stunning. I wish I did more smokey eyes because I don't really get to use this that often. Really stunning though.

My top 3 picks and the ones that I would repurchase without a second thought are Barely Branded, Bad to the Bronze, and Inked in Pink. Barely Branded is perfect under all shadows to really make them pop. Bad to the Bronze is perfect to really bring out warmed toned shadows. It also looks really amazing on its own and just blended into the crease, so simple and easy when I don't have any time to do much. Inked in Pink makes for a really nice base as well. I think it gives a nice iridescent look to the shadows that you put on top of it.

I recommend that you go out and try one of these. When you are in a rush they are pretty simple to just throw on and not have to worry about it. They also make amazing bases to help your shadow last all day. Which ones do you have? Are there some that you think I am missing and go check out?

Finish 7 by Spring Update # 1

Hello lovelies, I bring you all today my first update for my Finish 7 by Spring project pan. While I haven't finished anything, I have made incredible progress on everything and I am confident that this will be a successful project!

Wet n Wild Contour Palette (Hit pan on contour side) - There is a major dip going through this product now. I have been using it everyday and I am not sick of it yet, so I guess I'll just keep going.

Wet n Wild Coverall Powder - There is pan as well as visibility of the pan underneath. I have been really enjoying this powder. I feel like I am going through it much faster than I would the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, but I like that this gives me a little added coverage and it is a good shade for me right now. At the rate that I am using this, it will definitely be done in 2 months.

Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana - no pan and hardly a dip. I think when I repressed this I did it a little too well. I target my brush in the same spot everyday, but still nothing. The only product I am actually worried about.

dr. brandt Pores no more primer - Didn't make too much progress on this, but I am not worried. Once I get through my Smashbox primer for my finish 14 by Feb. 14 project this will be my main focus.

CVS sample Brow Pencil in Brown - made pretty good progress on this. I use it everyday so that isn't too shocking. I don't know how far I will be able to take this pencil before I can't sharpen it anymore, but I will just keep using it until I do. It isn't as warm as I would like my brows to be so I really just want this out.

Maybelline Babylips in Yummy Plummy - I don't think I have ever made such little progress on a babylips before. I am not worried though. I actually really like the color of this one and am considering repurchasing once I am done with it even though I said I wouldn't purchase anymore of them. The color of this just works really well with the natural color of my lips.

Rimmel East End Snob lip liner - I decided that the Revlon eye liner was just a bad idea so I switched it out for this. This is a really creamy pencil so I am not too worried about finishing it. I mean look at the progress I have made in 2 weeks alone. These pencils are too creamy for my personal preference unless I am using it with a matte lipstick, which I don't wear often. I am not the biggest fan of this color so I do want this lip liner out of my collection.

So I think I have made decent progress on everything. By next update I would have really liked to have hit pan on the contour powder and to have half of that coverall powder finished. Happy Panning!

Ipsy Unbagging and Review - Jan 2016

Hello lovelies, I bring you all today what I got in my Ipsy bag this month as well as some mini reviews of the products. For those of you who don't know, ipsy is a monthly subscription service for $10 a month and you receive 4-5 deluxe size samples as well as some full size products. I have been getting this for a while now and I always recommend it to people who are as obsessed with getting more and more products all the time. So, without further ado I will get right into it!
The theme of this months bag is All Eyes on You!

Peek Natural Stain Brow Powder - I have used this a couple times and it is safe to say that I don't like it. I thought it was the brush I was using but that wasn't it, this product just isn't very pigmented. It took way too long to build up in my brows. I think when my brows are freshly done and maybe not as thick as I have them now it will be better for me. If you have a lot of gaps in your brows you would probably want to stay away from this.

Lasting Smiles Lip Balm in Peppermint - This is a good lip balm. My lips felt very moisturized and I love the mint scent. If you don't like mint you might want to stay away from this because it is a bit strong.

Beau Gachis Paris Smudge Brush - This brush is alright. Not the softest in my opinion. It is kind of dense, but not too dense and I think that it will work nicely when you are trying to have very specific product placement in your crease. But just as a crease brush I didn't like it.

The Balm Mr. Write Now in Jac - I like this alright. It is a lighter bronze color. It doesn't show up that great in my waterline unless I do a few passes and build it up. It is nice underneath my lower lashline though.

Pixi by Petra eyeshadow duo in Lavender Bloom - Unfortunately I am a klutz and I dropped this. A bit of it broke but I salvaged what I could and repressed it. It still works beautifully. The colors are really pretty. The  shimmery shaded has a bronze and purple shift to it and the matte color is a really pretty lavender with pink undertones to it. I used this duo and it created a really pretty and quick look.

So I liked 4/5 products and will continue to use them regularly. The bag is worth roughly $58, I say roughly because I couldn't figure out the price of the brow powder. Overall I am happy with what I got because I love eyeliner and brushes and lip balm. Those 3 products alone really make it worth it for me.

Love to Project Pan!!! Finish 14 by Feb. 14 Update #3

Hello lovelies, so I tried to get this up for you all yesterday, but was in class all morning and work all evening, so I am a day late but I did make the markings on everything last night before I used them all today! I will get right into it!

I previously finished the Rimmel eyeliner in nude, hit pan on The Balm eyeshadow single in Flirty, and finished the Benefit Porefessional primer which only counts as half a product. In total 2 1/2 products.

To start off I will show you all what I have finished.
2 lip products out of my collection! Its the small victories haha.

The Maybelline Babylips in Grape Vine was a decent chapstick. This was my second one of these, I don't really feel the same about the color and formula the way I used to so I won't be repurchasing this.

Noyah lipstick in Desert Rose....I have never been so happy to finish a lip product in my life. The color was like Barbie lips on me and I wasn't a fan of the formula either. I am really proud though that I just kept at it until it was gone! Will definitely not be purchasing....ever.

Now onto the other 10 products that I need to get through.

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. I made decent progress on this. If I use the same amount next month I will be done with it. My lips have been permanently stain though.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. There was a week or so where I wasn't really reaching for primer and that kind of hurt my progress. I think if I really focus on it though I can get through it. I use it all over my face as opposed to the Benefit one that I only wore on my t-zone, so I think it will move faster than that one for sure.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightener. This has had steady progress on it this whole project. I won't be able to finish it, but I am happy that I got to use as much of this as I did. I won't be opening the one I got in the Fair shade until I finish this so that is some motivation to really get moving on this. Maybe I will try to highlight my face with this more.

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation. I put this on hold for a week when I was trying to get through that Urban Decay bb cream for another challenge, but I am sure that I will still be able to get through this by next month. Now that I have school again I will be wearing this more often.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye. I have officially given up on this. I have a love hate relationship with this concealer. I feel like it was great when I was using a bb cream because it helped cover up what that couldn't, but with the Rimmel foundation it is just too thick for my personal preference. So I am setting this aside, there is still no visible progress but the packaging has gotten thinner if you know what I mean. Like it isn't so full of air and I can move the product around in there easier. I feel like that didn't make any sense but I can't explain it any other way.

Benefit Watts Up highlighter stick. I made the tiniest progress with this and that is kind of disappointing. I am bummed because it took me until the final month and a half of the project to figure out a way to use this without looking like a discoball when it isn't appropriate for me to be wearing that much highlighter. There is also the fact that I just keep forgetting to use this. Hopefully I make a bigger dent in this over the next month.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded. I won't be finishing this in the next month, but I have been making good progress I think anyway. The red line shows what I used this time around. My new goal is to have less than a quarter of the product remaining and I will leave this project happy.

Mary Kay lip gloss in au Naturel. I haven't used this at all. I am going to really try to finish it this month though because I know that I can if I put my mind to it.

Trestiqque mini matte lip crayon in Nantucket Nude. I am kind of disappointed in my progress with this. I feel like this should have been one of the easier products to use in this project because I use it to highlight the center of my lips with just about every lip color so you would think that it would be gone already. I don't knwo, but I am going to just keep on trying to get through it and we will just have to wait till the finale to find out whether or not I can accomplish it.

Pacifica eye liner in Fringe. Didn't use this nearly as much as I could. I will be happy to move on to another eyeliner once this project is done because this really does nothing for me. Tightlining with it has been kind of pointless, but I am going to keep using it like that.

Well there it is. I have a lot to get through in the next month. My goal is to finish 7 products total because that is half of the total amount and I will consider that a success. I really need to focus on these products over the next month and I will see some major progress I think so that even the products I am not going to finish I will have a good chunk of them used up. Any progress is good progress right?

Goals for the finale - finish:
Revlon Honey
Trestique lip crayon
Smashbox primer
Rimmel foundation
Mary kay lip gloss

Project Pan Roulette Finale

Hello lovelies, I bring you all today the finale for my Project Pan Roulette. I decided to cut this short because I have other projects that I am more interested in and I felt like no matter how much I used these products, they just weren't going anywhere. I finished 3 products in total out of 12....not my most successful project. I am sure that if I hold off for another month I can finish a couple more products, but it really isn't worth it to keep these products interfering with all my others.

First the products I finished up. Previously I hit pan on my NYC Sunny Bronzer and that completed my goal. Now I have finished 2 products completely.

1. Salon Pro Brow Pencil in Taupe. I actually miss this now because I liked the consistency of the pencil much more than the one I am now. I have another one of these to use up though, so I am not too worried about that. I liked that this pencil had some warmth in it. I would repurchase this if I didn't have a million other brow products to get through already.
2. ELF Mist and Set. This moved pretty consistently. I decided that I wouldn't repurchase again (even though I have in the past) because the spray isn't really a mist and if you don't hold it far enough from your face you can get droplets all over. It works alright in my opinion. If I was in a pinch and needed something cheap, I would grab it again I guess.

Now onto all the products I didn't finish....

3. Jordana Easy liner for lips in Rock n Rose. I used more than half of this, but there is no way I would have been able to finish it by next month. It is a creamy pencil, but not as creamy as the Rimmel Exaggerate lip liners. It fills the lips in nicely, this color is easy to overdraw without it looking ridiculous, and it lasts a long time on the lips. I have a back up of this liner because I love the color and formula so much!
4. NYC City Proof 24 hr. Eye Primer. I am not the biggest fan of this. I used a bit of it, but the progress you see is from me trying to smash it back into the packaging because it broke off. I prefer something that doesn't tug on my eyes as much though.
5. Kat Von D lipstick in Lovecraft. Comfortable formula and nice color. Wish I could have used this up, but it seems like no matter how much I use it it isn't going anywhere.
6. Bare Minerals lipstick in Get Ready. This is the same as the Kat Von D lipstick. No matter how much I use it it isn't going anywhere. I need to pair this with another lipstick though because it is a little too pink for me.

7. Artistry Light Up Lip Gloss in Champagne. This is so close to being done but I will be happy to put it on the side for a little. I am not a fan of gloss so this was a challenge to work through, but I am happy that I got to actually put it to use and not just have it sitting in my collection anymore.
8. NYC Smooth Skin loose powder. I could have had this done, but I opted to just keep it and not waste it. I enjoy using this to bake when I do really dramatic makeup, but since I don't do it that often there would be no sense in me finishing this and buying another one. I would repurchase if I had to though since it is so inexpensive.
9. Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm. I tried so hard to have this done for this update, I think I am actually lower than where I marked it, but I couldn't figure it out. It is funny, I put this in this project under the category as "A product I regret purchasing" but now that I have found a way to use it and I like the finish of i, I don't regret it anymore. I won't be repurchasing because it is too expensive for what it is, but I have really started enjoying using this on a daily basis for something light on the skin.
10. Stila Stay All Day Concealer. I didn't use this at all.
11. Wet n Wild Blush in Heather Silk. Really foolish of me to think that I would be able to hit pan on a blush as pigmented as this one. I still enjoy using it though and I have worn off the imprint a bit, so that is progress I guess.

Even though I didn't finish all of these products, I am happy with the progress. A lot of these are items that I probably wouldn't have used otherwise. You can definitely look forward to some of these being in empties at some point this year.

Daily Post Jan. 9

What's the 11th item on your bucket list?

11. Become a vegetarian for a month.

I attempted this once....it didn't last a week. I think that is why I ended up adding this to the list, just to see if I could do it. In my defense, I attempted to become a vegetarian during summer and we barbeque just about every other day, so that probably wasn't a very smart idea. I think I might actually attempt this again soon.

What book did you read over and over as a child?

I loved reading Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish as a child. I still have my original copy on my book shelf now. The fact that she takes everything so literally makes me laugh so hard every time! This is a book that always puts a smile on my face when I read it. However, I did read it to my Early Literacy class, and I should have thought that through before picking the book because repeating Amelia Bedelia so many times....well it becomes a tongue twister after a while! If you haven't read this you are missing out on something really incredible!

Daily Post Jan. 5

And of course it had to happen, I missed 2 days already. Honestly, I thought I would have at least kept up through January before I started missing days. We can all just blame it on the fact that I started a new show (the 100) on netflix and am trying to finish the 2 seasons that are on there before the semester starts tomorrow. I decided that I am not going to make up the posts that I missed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You encounter a mysterious man offering you a magic potion that, once sipped, will make one of your senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch) super sharp -- but dull the others. Will you sip it, and if so, what sense do you choose?
This is a tough one. I don't know that I would want to dull out the other senses. I think that there would definitely be benefits to choosing each one of these though.
Sight, well considering I have terrible vision this would be nice. I wouldn't have to worry about glasses or contacts anymore. I imagine that I would be able to see at night, like have super night vision, that would be really cool. However, my eyes are sensitive to light as it is and if I made that stronger I don't know that that would be all too comfortable for me.
Hearing, don't we all want to be a fly on a wall sometimes?
Taste, if I wanted to become a chef or a food critique, I think that having heightened taste buds would be awesome. I would be known world-wide and everyone would want me to taste their food!
Smell, I don't know that this could always be a good thing haha. However, if I could use it to detect fires early on or find gas leaks and things like that -- well I would be a darn super hero and save a lot of people grief now wouldn't I?
Touch, this is the one that I really think I wouldn't choose at all. I imagine this being something that would make feel like your nerves are all open to the world. Like the protective layer that keeps us from over feeling things would be gone. It just sounds painful to me honestly.
After writing it all out like that, I guess my inner-foodie wins. I would super charge my taste, however the fact that I would have to dull out the others makes me iffy as to whether or not I would actually sip the potion.
Daily Post Jan. 2
What were your best and worst subjects in college?
I have taken what feels like hundreds of college courses and well there are still quite a few I still have to take. However, there are a few that have stood out for me. The worst subject was by far history. Anything related to history. I don't know if it was my professor or the fact that I am genuinely just not interested, but that was a really rough course for me. There have also been history related courses in general that I just wasn't into. I feel like I just can't get into it the way I would like to.
On a brighter note, my best subject is English. This isn't all that surprising if you have known me for any period of time. I could have an endless amount of work in those classes and it won' actually feel like work because I enjoy them so much! I have had so many English classes because I was an English major (before I decided to go ahead and have a science minor) and I took many English classes. Literature classes where we have picked apart books has been fun in the past, but by far the class that will always probably stand out for me is a Writing class I took. In fact, when I decided to do a post a day, it was that class that I thought of.
One Brand Project Pan: Maybelline Intro.
Hello lovelies, well I have officially gone off the deep end and decided to do yet another project pan. I can't help it though, I am addicted to watching my progress and finishing products! Anyway, as the title claims, this is a one brand project pan. I went through my collection and tallied up to see what brand I have the most of. Maybelline won with Rimmel only a couple of products short. I went through a made a list of the products that I could choose from, and the Maybelline list seemed like it would be the more successful of the 2.
This is going to be a smaller project (because I haven't completely lost my mind!) with only 5 products and I am giving myself 3 months to do this. Updates will be on the 6th of every month and the finale will be on the 6th of April. I am really happy about what I chose for this project so I will get right into it!
1. Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - This is my first color tattoo. How I not hit pan on it yet I don't know. It was pretty dried up, but I gave it a mix and it is just as creamy as the day I bought it. I haven't used this in so long and I look forward to rediscovering it! My goal is to just hit pan on it.
2. Single Shadow in Nude Glow - This paired really well over the color tattoo. It is a really pretty peachy - rose gold shade if that makes any sense. I have a decent dip in it already, but I don't know when I will hit pan on it.
3. Colorsensational Lipstick in 920 Nude Lust - Really nice nude shade. I chose this over one of my matte shades because I figured I could get through it faster since it is creamier. This is great for everyday wear since I have been doing the mauvy-brown thing and I'm am getting bored with that look. Sometimes I just want a nude lip.
4. Baby lips in Peach Kiss - This is my least favorite one of these because it has sparkle in it. I have a lot of product to get through and I am hoping it won't take me too long since I am working on another babylips for a different project.
5. Fit Me Concealer in Sand - I love this concealer, it is one of my favorites. I don't think this is the best shade for brightening under my eyes, so once this is done I will get it in a lighter shade. I really miss the consistency of this concealer since I have been working on the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye and that is so thick compared to this. I am ready to call it quits on that since I am not really seeing any progress and get into this instead. The colder weather is making my skin too dry to try and keep using the other one.
I am actually really excited about this project. I feel like I had to really "shop my stash" to find these products. I haven't used them in a while, but I know I like them all. It will be interesting to see my progress knowing that I really do like all these products whereas normally I don't always get along with the majority and the reason they are in a project is so I can move them out. I also feel like I chose products that are going to work really well together, as well as with products in my other projects.
Project Ipsy Month 1
Hello lovelies, I have decided to go ahead and start another project pan. This one will be a project targeted specifically towards the products I have received monthly from ipsy and will last all year. I have been subscribed to ipsy since April of 2013, and I still have some products from then. This is a good way for me to kind of make sure I use those older things up and make space for the newer things I am getting since I still am subscribed. I got this idea from Christine Chantal, who I first met on instagram and she has started a Youtube channel which is really exciting so go check her out and subscribe if you are as obsessed with project panning as I am! I have 91 products and my goal is to finish or hit pan on at least 41 of the products. That will leave me with the things that are only from 2015 and on. Now you won't see me go through all the products here because I do currently have 11 or 12 of them in other project pans that I have going. I also enjoy using some on a regular basis without them being in a project, so each month I will give you the running total of ipsy products that I have moved out of my collection.
I have picked 10 products to start off with and each time I finish a product I will replace it with another, so there will always be 10 products. Without further ado, I will get right into the products!
1. Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk - There isn't much in this sample. I have used it a few times already, and I know I don't like it at all. It leaves my skin feeling like there is a film over it and it does nothing for removing my makeup. I will be happy once this is gone!
2. Hey Honey Take it Off - This is a peel off mask. I like doing this mask mostly because I like peeling it off. It is strangely satisfying for me. I don't think it actually does anything for me though, so I will be glad when that is gone. I have 2 maybe 3 more uses out of that.
3. NYX Blush in Desert Rose - I love this blush so hopefully I won't regret adding this in. I just want to hit pan on it. I thought adding it in early would give me more time to work on it and it is something I got in my first bag so I do really want to get more use out of it since it is older.
4. Pop Beauty Eyeshadow trio in Naturally Bare - I want to hit pan on at least one shadow to start. I am pretty sure that I could hit pan on that first shade early on because I have a really good dip in it. I will use this all month long and see where that gets me.
5. Noyah Lip Balm in Cherry - I like this and I keep it in my back pack. The semester starts on the 7th, so I just need to remember to use this more often or to take it out and leave it on my bedside.
6. J Cat Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - I like this, but again I have had it for way too long. I need to find where to get these because I really like the formula of this. The shade is easy and wearable so I am not too worried about having to use this.
7. Balanced Guru Balm Me Up - I am almost done with this, a little more than half way through. I like this well enough, but I will be happy once it has moved on. I am not a fan of the lemony scent that it has.
8. Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Crayon - One of my favorite products, but it came in my first ipsy bag and I am ready to just use it up. I wonder if I use it everyday how long it will take me to finish it up.
9. em michelle Waterliner in Turquoise - I like green eyeliner, so I am excited to get to use this one. I have way too many green eyeliners for someone who doesn't wear it often (I prefer blue), so I will be happy once I am down one.
10. Absolute Makeup Remover Wipes - How do I still have these?! I don't think I have even opened this package. It has 10 in there so it shouldn't be too hard to use up. I will probably use it to clean up after using that Juice Beauty cleanser. Just don't want them taking up space anymore.
So there you have it. 10 products that I would like to get through.
Goals - Finish:
Juice Beauty Cleanser
Makeup Wipes
Hey Honey Mask
Balanced Guru body balm
Hit pan on at least one shadow
Dec. 2015 Empties - Hits and Misses
Hello lovelies, I have today my empties from the month of December.
Maybelline Clean Express Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. This was my second one of these I believe, and I won't be repurchasing. I have a different eye remover to get through, but I don't really use them that often to be honest. If I am playing with makeup and I do something really dramatic, then I use it, but I dno't like to reach for the extra step. I typically wash my face in the shower and that gets rid of everything. I don't wear waterproof makeup either so I don't really need a product like this.
Avene Thermal Spring Water. This is something that I got in ipsy. I have a backup of this, but I think this one got really old because it started to smell like the can if that makes sense. I didn't feel comfortable using this on my face anymore. I prefer other sprays over this because it comes out pretty strong. Wouldn't repurchase.
Loreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions. I love this mascara and already have 2 backups. It makes my lashes literally look like falsies, to the point I have actually been asked if they were my real lashes more than once! Will repurchase forever...my only problem with this is that it flaked a bit, but I put up with that for the effect it gives my lashes.
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara wand. I used this to comb through my brows because I feel like it is the perfect size for that, however the brow pencil I have been using is way too creamy and the wand keeps getting gunked up. I have cleaned it enough and I got a spooly and eye brow brush in my ipsy this month so it is time to retire this.
Skyn Iceland Eye Gels. I put these in the fridge before I used them because I heard that helps. However, I didn't really feel like these did much. I have another set so I will have to test it out again I guess.
Eco-Beauty good day, day moisturizer. This was nice, kind of smelled like fresh cucumbers. I loved that even though it was a foil packet, it came with a twist cap and was actually a larger size. I used this for a while before I finished it. Nothing incredible though, so I won't be repurchasing.
Equate Makeup Remover Wipes. Nothing new here, I will repurchase these because they are a great value. I use these to wipe down my desk, to remove swatches, to clean my hands if I get makeup all over them. I just wish the packaging was better because the last few dried out because I had completely ripped off the cover by accident.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. By far my favorite cleanser. I especially like it to take off my makeup. My skin looks its best when I use this. I have a few other cleansers to get through, but once I do I will definitely be repurchasing!
epice Purifying Exfoliant. This worked well enough. I felt like the little particles in this were too harsh though, like they were cutting my skin. Won't purchase.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Cleanser. This was nice, not a big enough sample for me to know how well it worked because I left it in the shower and someone used it all up. I only used it twice, but I do have another sample like this so I will have to test it out again...maybe just not leave it in the shower haha!
I feel like I finished up a decent amount of products this month. I hope that 2016 continues this way but with more makeup involved.
Shadow Panning Pandemonium Jan. Goals
Hello lovelies, I decided that I will post the shadows I want to hit pan on monthly, so in the beginning of the month I will post my goals and at the end I will post whether or not I actually hit pan on them. I will probably start posting my goals and updates on the same post so that I am not wasting everyone's time to have to check back again the next day.
I chose 3 shadows this month, 2 of which are actually in a project pan and I want to get a move on them.
First is the Wet n Wild single in Brulee I believe. I have this in my z-palette so it is always pretty readily available for me to use. I use this to set any primer or base that I have put down. It is also a great browbone highlight shade.
Second is Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow in Champagne. This is my favorite rose-gold all over the lid shade. Also a really gorgeous inner corner highlight when I am doing a matte eye but still want some sparkle.
Last is the peachy shade (#6) from the Hard Candy Birthday Suit palette. It is such a great shade for going through the crease. I like having something warm there and this is perfect for that.Very easy shade and pairs well with the other 2 shadows.
I have pretty good dips in all of these and I am not too worried about hitting pan, however I have never really done this before so I am hoping it is as easy as I think it is!
Daily Post Jan. 1
So I am ready to get into this daily writing thing. I have a list of writing prompts and I am having someone choose a random number and I will just respond to that post. I encourage who ever is reading this to comment down below their responses as well. Lets get into my head:
What did you most enjoy doing this week?
This week I enjoyed New Years Eve. There is something about the idea of starting fresh that kind of really gets to me. I didn't really set any resolutions though because I am satisfied with where my life is at and while I decided that I want to make a couple of changes, it isn't something that I would consider a resolution because I feel like once I attach that word to something, that is it, I won't actually accomplish it. Anyway I also loved the fact that I didn't have work, I got to eat my body weight in junk food (paying for it today!), and just hung out with my family and watched Impractical Jokesters. By far the funniest show I have ever watched in my life! Really enjoyed starting off the new year laughing, it seems symbolic of how my year should go.
15 Things From 2015
1. I have been reading a great deal more. Didn't reach my goal of 24 books, but I did get to read 12 of them which is more than I am sure that I read in the year before.
2. I've finally passed the entrance test for the College of Education. That much closer to being a teacher.
3. I got a planner and realized that no matter how much I try, I really can't live by a book. However, I like seeing everything in list form and on my calendar. I'm only slightly OCD.
4. Finally gave reading science fiction and fantasy books a read, learned that I actually enjoy reading them.
5. I learned that I need to let things go and allow them to happen as they will. I can't control everything.
6. I have a very snarky and sarcastic (sometimes hurtful) sense of humor, and the people that love me the most put up with it.
7. I have another niece; who I love even though I have never met her. Next year will bring another niece and nephew inshallah.
8. Religion above all else. Really helps you get through times that there seems to be no end to. It is the light at the end of the tunnel if you will.
9. I get a thrill when things come in the mail. Specifically packages. I like to buy gifts for myself.
10. I enjoy taking care of others. Returning all the love that was given to me throughout my 22 years of life.
11. My makeup desk is my sanctuary.
12. Reading Harry Potter and then watching the movies is incredibly frustrating. They cut out way too much!
13. Having good friends that you can count on is kind of awesome.
14. I hold on to some useless things...I am never going to look at those notes from 2012 again, why do I still have them?!?!
15. Cluttered space = cluttered mind. Need to remember to keep things clean and simple sometimes.
