Project Ipsy Reboot February Update

Hello lovelies, I am a little overdue on posting my update on my project ipsy. Too be honest I am a little reluctant to do this because I still haven't finished anything and it is kind of discouraging and I am only 2 months in. I really need to buckle down on these products or else I won't finish anything this year.

1. Sexy Hair Spray Clay - Didn't use this at all this month.

2. Bella Terra Mineral Shimmer in Navy - Haven't used this either.

3. Starlooks Eyeliner in Amethyst - No progress to show here but I did use this a couple times. I just don't need to sharpen it.

4. J Cat Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - Same steady progress on this one. I think this was the only product that showed a decent amount of progress honestly.

5. Mally Eyeliner in Star Shine - I think I used this once. Silver eyeliner is just not the most everyday type of thing for me.

6. Zoya Nail Polish in Odette - The only other product where you can see some actual progress.

7. Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brule - This is still going strong even though I can see a lot through the sides of the packaging.

8. Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Feeling Very Cherry - I think I used this once this month.

9. It Bye Bye Undereye - Still the concealer that won't quit. I have been trying to make a conscious effort to use it more though.

10. Urban Decay Ozone lipliner - Somehow managed to make zero progress with this. I haven't been reaching for lip liners much though.

11. Bella Pierre eyeliner in Ebony - A little surprised at my progress on this one honestly.

12. Trestique Eye Crayon in Aspen Pine - I used this once and really enjoyed the look, but it barely made a dent in the usage.

13. Skone Lip Liner in Wine - Didn't use this at all.

14. Aila Nail Laquer in Mister Pookies - Made the littlest bit of progress with this one.

15. The Balm Liquid Lipstick in Committed - Not gonna lie I forgot this was a part of the project. I did use it a couple of times though.

Products that I will be adding in this month:

16. Coastal Scents eyeliner in 01 - Another black eyeliner. This is just gonna make the progress on all of this that much more difficult for me.

17. KB Shimmer nail Polish in My Life's Porpoise - As you can see this is basically brand new. Every time I try to paint my nails with it I am not the biggest fan. However, I used it yesterday and I actually liked it. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my hands are a little tanner here in FL.

18. Luxie Eyeshadow in No. 290 - I love this single and it has been a while since I reached for it. Kind of excited that it got added to this project. Goal is to hit pan not completely finish it up.

19. Model Co Highlighting Trio - I am only going to pan the champagne shade. I know I won't use the pink or the tan because neither one suits my skin tone. This is a good highlighter, but it has glitter in it so hopefully I can move this out sooner rather than later.

20. Pacifica Lipstick in Nudie Red - I enjoy this color so I am hoping it won't be too hard to pan.

There you have it. Like I said in the beginning the progress is really discouraging. Honestly I am due to have my baby any day now so I don't even know how much progress I will actually make in the next month either. I am gonna try and put more effort into it though.

Project Ipsy Reboot January Update

Hello lovely readers. Happy new year! First post of the year is going to be a project pan update on my reboot of project ipsy. I have been working on these products for a month now and I have to say that the progress is seriously underwhelming and I am not on the best start with this project. I refuse to lose hope though and think the 5 new additions to the project are some good additions this early on in the year because they will take a little longer to get through. Anyway, I'll just get into the products now and try not to drone on about each item because there is a lot to get through.

1. Sexy Hair Spray Clay -  I used this once. I'm glad I used it the one time, but I really need to just get this gone because I don't know whether I actually like this product or not. I don't curl my hair often and so I know I don't use this as much and I thought having this in a project would make me use it more but apparently not.

2. Bella Terra Mineral Pigment in Navy Shimmer - I used this a ton. I hadn't remarked it at the start of the project so I don't know how accurate the red line is, but the blue line on there now shows that I used this a lot. I did a really pretty navy eyeliner look that was super dramatic.

3. Starlooks Eye Liner in Amethyst - I thought I was using this a lot, but eyeliners are near impossible for me to work through. Especially something in this tone and has this much sparkle. I have hope that I can get through 1/2 of this pencil by the end of the year.

4. J Cat Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - I thought I had used more of this than I did, but apparently not.

5. Mally Eye Liner in Star Shine - I haven't used this much as you can see. Silver eye liner will take me a little longer to work through.

6. Zoya Nail Polish in Odette - I think I made decent progress on this. I used it a lot because it is a neutral color. I do 2 coats when I paint my nails so I guess that helped me move through it as well.

7. NYX Buttergloss in Creme Brulee - I can actually see through the packaging a lot now. There is definitely hope that I will finish a lipgloss.

8. Nicole by OPI Nail polish in Feeling Very Cherry - You can't really see the update line, but considering I felt I used this a few times there isn't much progress.

9. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye - I feel like I am finally making progress on this concealer. I swear this was the never ending concealer for so long.

10. Urban Decay Lip liner in Ozone - I felt like I had to constantly remind myself to use this. I prefer lip liners that have actual pigment to them and don't think this makes any difference in the staying power of my lipstick while using this.

And now for the 5 new additions for the month!

11. Bella Pierre eyeliner in Ebony - This is one of my favorite black eye liners. I feel like this stays put best in my waterline.

12. Trestique Mini Shadow Crayon in Aspen Pine - A sparkly green shadow crayon. This will take some time to work on because I don't think I'm gonna use it that often, but I have hope by the end of the year.

13. Skone Lip/Eye Liner in Wine - This is another product that is gonna take some time for me to get through. I don't wear this color on my lips much at all so I am gonna try it as an eye liner.

14. Aila Nail Polish in Mister Pookies - This is one of my favorite neutrals and I love painting my nails with this so I don't think it will be too hard for me to get through by the end of the year.

15. The Balm Liquid Lipstick in Committed - I've used this a few times and it isn't my favorite formula. I don't think it will take too long though since it is such a small lip product.

Well there it is. I have hope for some of these products. I don't know that I will have any of them done by the next update. Maybe the concealer and lip gloss, but the rest of the products will probably take me a few months to get through.

How are your current projects going? Are you joining me in project ipsy?

Project Ipsy February '17 Update

Hello lovelies, another month has passed and that is another months worth of progress on my project ipsy items. To be honest, it has been a pretty off month in terms of progress for me. I didn't really reach for a lot of these products. Here is the update I have anyway.

2 products are being crossed off my list.

Be a Bombshell - One Stick in Sunset - I have decided to declutter this because I have had it for 4 years now and the smell is off. I have cream blushes that are newer and that I like a lot better than this one to be honest. No sense in me fighting to try and get through this by the end of the year.

Bare Minerals - 5 in 1 eye shadow base - This is a pretty nice base. It is taupey color. I don't know that it made my shadow last any longer. I wouldn't purchase it in a full size, but it was nice to try.

Here is an update on the products that I actually used this month.

NYX - Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee - I think I am about half way through this now since it was a part of another project pan. I have been enjoying it, but I don't know that I will repurchase it. I'm not the biggest fan of lip gloss though.

Absolute - Lip Balm in Green Apple - I am working my way through this. I want it gone by the end of April so I am definitely going to be focusing in on this lip balm.

J Cat Beauty - Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - I have been enjoying this a lot. It is super easy to just throw on in the morning and it goes with a lot of the makeup looks that I do for work.

Now for the new products that I am adding in.

Be a Bombshell - Eye base in Submissive - I am a quarter of the way through this product. It is going to take me a while, but I think I can get through it this year. It is a great bronze color. Very similar to the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.

Marc Anthony - Hair Spray - I may have used this once before. It will take a while to get through it since I don't use hairspray that often, but I am going to try and make some effort.

Pixi - Fairydust - I haven't used this that much, but I like it. Mainly because of the name if I am being honest.

Bella Pierre - Mineral Shimmer in Celebration - This is a loose pigment. I doubt that I will get through it, but I am going to enjoy using it. It is a really beautiful bronze gold.

I had made the decision to add 5 products each month, but the fifth item on this list I decided to go ahead and declutter. It was another eyeliner. It is silver with glitter in it and I know that I won't use it over the Mally one that I already have in this project. So far I have used/decluttered 8 products. Not bad for 2 months in my opinion. I hope I actually use more of these products on the list already this month.

Project Ipsy 2.0 Intro

Hello lovelies, I decided that I enjoyed doing project ipsy and that it went pretty well for me last year, so I am doing it again this year. This year however, I am going to be adding products every month regardless of if I have finished any from the previous month. This intro will start with 10 and each month I will add 5. I have already created the list so that I can help keep track of where I am going with it all each month. I am hoping to end the year having finished 50 products. There are products that I will be using that are not on this list that will count towards the goal so long as they are ipsy products.

Sexy Hair Spray Clay - I have no idea where I am at with this product since I can't see through it. I do hope to actually get this done this year. Really great for giving y hair texture when I curl my hair.

Zoya Nail Polish in Mason - This is a purple magenta color. It has a bit of shimmer in it. I am more of a fan of neutrals for my nails, so this is going to be a bit of challenge for me.

Bella Pierre Mineral Shimmer in Navy - as the name suggests, this is a mineral eyeshadow that is navy blue. There is a sheen to it when it is blended out, but no glitter which I appreciate. I doubt I will even make it to the half way point this year since loose pigments are so hard to use, but I am looking forward to using this and experimenting with it.

Starlooks Gem eye pencil in Amethyst - Love this eyeliner and look forward to using it some more this year. Another that I don't think will actually get done though since this has a lot of glitter in it and I can't wear it every day.

J Cat Beauty Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - Love this color and I think if I really try that I will actually get through it this year!

Be a Bombshell the One Stick in Sunset - Gorgeous color, I just wish there was less glitter in here. Cream blushes take forever, but whatever I don't finish of this by the end of the year will be decluttered so I really want to get some more use out of it.

Mally eyeliner in Starshine - Another eye liner that I probably won't get completely through by the end of the year.

Zoya nail polish in Odette - this polish is definitely more up my ally in terms of color. It is a very toned down neutral purple. Have it on my nails now and I can see getting a lot of use out of this polish this year,

Ofra Universal Eye brow Pencil - Brow products take a bit of time to get through, but I know I can finish this by the end of the year.

NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee - Nice lip gloss, not that into glosses, but I can get through this one. I won't be taking out the stopper. I can't see through the packaging so I don't know where I am at. I am pretty sure that this is basically full though.

Progress lines:

I look forward to another year of panning all the products I get from Ipsy every month. As of right now, I am still subscribed to their services. If you would like to sign up as well you can use the following link: https://www.ipsy.com/new?cid=ppage_ref&sid=link&refer=6iih

Project Ipsy Month 10 Update

Hello lovelies, here is the newest update on the Project Ipsy that I have been working on all year. I finished more products this month than I think I have in any other month, so I'll just get right into it!

Pure Brazzilion - Leave in conditioner - This was nice, but I don't think I would purchase it. I found that I don't really have a need for leave in conditioners. I am much more a fan of just deep conditioning and doing hair masks instead.

Ofra - single shadow in Bliss - There is the tiniest bit of pan in there. Gorgeous champagne color. The formula of this shadow is really nice.

Bare Minerals - Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Get Ready - Well this melted a little and then it just fell apart. I sort of marked it on the paper, but I am ready to let it go despite how much I have left of it. I finished more than half of it and considering I wasn't the biggest fan of the color on myself, I think that is pretty darn good!

St. Tropez - Gradual Face Tan - Just glad to have this out now.

Not Soap Radio - Liquid Freud lotion - Really disappointed that I haven't used this more than a couple of times. I thought I could have it done in a month but I guess not.

Absolute - Lip balm in Green Apple - Making my way to the next side of the pan. It is pretty thin where you see product in the middle there. I don't know that I am going to dig into the bottom of the side pan the way I did on that first side because it is a little hard to get the product out of there and I don't really mind some being left in there. It is a nice lip balm though.

La Vanilla - Pure Vanilla rollerball - I use this every day. I am surprised there isn't that much progress.

Chella - Ivory Lace highlighter crayon - Been loving this to clean up my brows.

J Cat Beauty - Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - Been really enjoying this color for Autumn.

Be a Bombshell - Lip Balm in French Kiss - Momentarily lost this so there isn't as mcuh progress as I would have hoped for.

Trestique - Mini Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude - This is a great center of the lip highlight. Also great to mix in and lighten up some darker colors.

And now for the products that I am adding in:

Nourish Organic - Argan Face Serum - I don't actually know what serums do, but I have been using all of my samples of them and decided that it was time to bring this one out and use it up.

Smashbox - Photofinish Primer - this is a gimme product and I don't really care.

Bayberry Naturals - Rosehip and Hibiscus Moisturizer - I needed a new moisturizer and this is the one that I am going to use.

Mitchel and Peach - Fine Radiance Face Oil - My skin is already becoming dehydrated from the dryer weather, so I am clearly all about rehydrating it with all the skin care products I chose to add in.

So there is a quick update. I skipped over the products that I didn't make any progress in. Really hoping I can get a few more of these products out by the end of the year. I don't know yet whether or not I will be keeping this project going through next year or starting fresh with it. I am leaning towards starting fresh. What do you think I should do?

Ipsy Unbagging and Review - Jan 2016

Hello lovelies, I bring you all today what I got in my Ipsy bag this month as well as some mini reviews of the products. For those of you who don't know, ipsy is a monthly subscription service for $10 a month and you receive 4-5 deluxe size samples as well as some full size products. I have been getting this for a while now and I always recommend it to people who are as obsessed with getting more and more products all the time. So, without further ado I will get right into it!
The theme of this months bag is All Eyes on You!

Peek Natural Stain Brow Powder - I have used this a couple times and it is safe to say that I don't like it. I thought it was the brush I was using but that wasn't it, this product just isn't very pigmented. It took way too long to build up in my brows. I think when my brows are freshly done and maybe not as thick as I have them now it will be better for me. If you have a lot of gaps in your brows you would probably want to stay away from this.

Lasting Smiles Lip Balm in Peppermint - This is a good lip balm. My lips felt very moisturized and I love the mint scent. If you don't like mint you might want to stay away from this because it is a bit strong.

Beau Gachis Paris Smudge Brush - This brush is alright. Not the softest in my opinion. It is kind of dense, but not too dense and I think that it will work nicely when you are trying to have very specific product placement in your crease. But just as a crease brush I didn't like it.

The Balm Mr. Write Now in Jac - I like this alright. It is a lighter bronze color. It doesn't show up that great in my waterline unless I do a few passes and build it up. It is nice underneath my lower lashline though.

Pixi by Petra eyeshadow duo in Lavender Bloom - Unfortunately I am a klutz and I dropped this. A bit of it broke but I salvaged what I could and repressed it. It still works beautifully. The colors are really pretty. The  shimmery shaded has a bronze and purple shift to it and the matte color is a really pretty lavender with pink undertones to it. I used this duo and it created a really pretty and quick look.

So I liked 4/5 products and will continue to use them regularly. The bag is worth roughly $58, I say roughly because I couldn't figure out the price of the brow powder. Overall I am happy with what I got because I love eyeliner and brushes and lip balm. Those 3 products alone really make it worth it for me.

Love to Project Pan!! Finish 14 by Feb. 14

Hello lovelies, well I guess you can tell by the title of this post that I am joining yet another seasonal project pan. This one was created by Kristen Kay and GlamourWithGrace on youtube. I am really excited to be doing this and there are a lot of products so I will just get right into it!

So here they are. My 14 products....well 15 since I am counting 2 as one. I just realized that the paper got a bit cut off on the bottom, but those initial lines don't matter until they are in comparison to the next update, sorry about that though. I think I will post a picture of just the paper over on my instagram: subtlebeauty27blog so go follow me there for clearer pictures!

1. Revlon - Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. I am sure you all know what this cult favorite looks like. Mine is pretty old and all of the label on the packaging has rubbed off. I love this color, but am ready to start moving things out of my collection. This will probably be something I repurchase though!

2. Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer and Benefit - Porefessional. These are both such small sample sizes that I decided that I would consider the 2 of them together as one product. The photo finish is basically unused so you can't even see the line I drew on it. I couldn't figure out where I was with the porefessional, but I have used it far more than the other one. It shouldn't take me long to finish it up. I just want to make sure I use it before it goes bad!

3. Rimmel - Stay Matte Mouse Foundation. I like this product alright, I probably won't repurchase it once I am done. It feels heavy on my skin and can cling to dry patches.

4. The Balm - Nude Dude single shadow in Flirty. I love this as an all-over shadow. I love this shadow a lot, but it is taking up space and I just got the entire palette in a Hautelook order today, so I just want to use this up. Also I feel like it is a great color for Autumn/Winter.

5. It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Undereye. I have had this little sample in my collection for too long and I don't really care for it. I just want to move it out.

6. Benefit - Watts Up. Love this product, but I hardly use it and I don't know why. It is absolutely beautiful, and I want to use it before it goes bad. I also have it in a little pot from last Christmas when I bought the blush palette. It is a shame to just let them go to waste by drying up in my drawers.

7. Noyah - lipstick in Desert Rose. This isn't too old, but I probably won't use it unless it is in a project because it isn't a color that I gravitate to very much. I want to just get it out of my collection.

8. Mary Kay - Nourishine lip gloss in au Naturel. I love the look of this lip gloss. I want to use it before it goes bad though and again the only way that will happen is if it is in a project. I'm not sure if I would repurchase it when I am done only because I don't wear lip glosses very often and I just don't want them cluttering my collection anymore.

9. Maybelline - Babylips in Grape Vine. Another baby lips to move out. This is basically brand new and that is because it is my second tube of it. The first chapstick I ever finished was the one in this shade. It gives a nice wash of purple on the lips, a wearable purple for me. It is probably the only baby lips that I would consider ever purchasing again.

10. Bare Minerals - 5 in 1 base. I have used this a couple of times and it is a nice base. I don't know that I would buy a full size once this is out though.

11. Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Brightener. I like this concealer and will definitely be repurchasing, however I don't think I will get it in the brightener again. It is an almost white because of how bright it is. I have to wear it underneath my foundation so that it doesn't look so stark.

12. tre'stique - Mini-Matte lip crayon in Nantucket Nude. Another product I wouldn't use unless it was in a project.

13. Rimmel - Scandaleyes in Nude. I had this in a previous project and clearly I didn't finish it up. I have about 4 months this time around and I think that will be enough time to finish it up though. I do already have a backup of this since I love it so much, I thought it would be a good idea to add a product that I am already using every day regardless of if it is in a project or not.

14. Pacifica - eyeliner in Fringe. I have had this in my collection for a while. I thought it would be a good idea to add it since I have only used it a couple of times. Also I want something that isn't black right now.

So there are my 14 things that I need to finish by February 14, 2016. I think I can actually do this if I put my mind to it. I am only really worried about the Watts Up because it is such an amazing product that I don't need much. I will try to get creative with it though! Let me know if you are going to join in on the joy that is another project pan. Also, don't forget to check out the 2 youtubers I mentioned earlier, they are amazing at juggling multiple project pans and it is always encouraging to see someone else's progress as motivation!

Okay, so I completely spaced and forgot to pull out my eye shadow in Flirty from The Balm. Here is a picture of it. It has some use so I am not too worried about using it up.

July Ipsy

Hello lovely readers, I haven't posted an Ipsy unboxing in a really long time....since October of 2013....well I haven't stopped getting them I was just being a bad blogger for a while there. Anyway, I usually like what I get in my bags well enough, but this month had me excited enough that I wanted to share it with you all.

You can see that the bag is really cute and the theme is Summer Lovin'.

1. Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer in Park Avenue Princess. This bronzer has a cult following and now I know why! Was super excited to get this and if it looks as good on my face as it swatched on the back of my hand I would definitely consider purcahsing a full size.

2. Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvinator. Love getting exfoliator samples and this one smells amazing! Probably because it has papaya in it.

3. Be a Bombshell Cosmetics lip balm in french kiss. This is a nice lip balm. I like that this isn't tinted at all and it is just a normal chapstick because I was a little worried when I seen the pink.

4. OFRA Eyeshadow and Highlighter in Bliss. This is one of the prettiest pinky champagne colors that I now own. The packaging it came in is so cheap, but I can just place the pan, which I'm pretty sure is full size, in my everyday palette.

5. Octavio La Playa sea salt spray. Now that I have done the keratin treatment to my hair I find it kind of hard to curl my hair without the curls falling out so I'm excited to see if this will give it more texture and volume like it claims. Also, huge bonus that it doesn't smell like coconuts because I do not like that smell.

As excited I am about all of the products I got this month, these 2 were definitely the standouts. I love highlighting my face....can get borderline discoball when I get carried away at time...so of course I like the highlight and then there is the Tarte bronzer in here. I squealed a little when I saw this because 1. the packaging is so freakin cute and 2. because there is so much hype around this bronzer and how it is perfect for more fair skin.

So there is my really exciting July Ipsy bag. Are you subscribed? What did you get this month?

If you don't know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription that is $10 and you get 4-5 deluxe sample items that ranges from makeup to hair care to skin care. I really enjoy getting it and I have been getting it for about 2 years now. You can sign up here: https://www.ipsy.com/new?refer=6iih

August Ipsy Unboxing

Hello lovelies! So I was really excited about this months Ipsy box...So excited that I took a sneak peek at what I got before the package made it to my doorstep. Now I am not too sure about the value of the box because I didn't feel like converting the numbers, but assuming all these products were full size it would total to a little over $70. I am happy with the sample sizes I got however, and 2 of the products were full size. I still don't regret signing up for ipsy and I suggest you do the same. I will have a link for you at the end of the post. :)

The first is the noya Lip Balm in Cherry. I really enjoy this. It leaves my lips really moisturized and it's cherry flavor! I wish it was a tinted lip balm, but honestly I have enough of those. I am a lip balm junkie and this just fed my addiction a little bit more!
Next is the Pixi Lash Booster Mascara in Blackest Black. First of all I am happy that it is in blackest black because I dont really like any other shade for my mascara unless I am working on a different look. This is a good "throw in your purse for touch ups" kind of size and that is probably what I will end up doing with it. I have never tried anything from pixi, but I guess my love for mascara is a good place to start!
The Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream is the next product. It apparently has skin matching stuff in it that well matches your skin I guess. I haven't given this a try yet, but I love BB Cream because of how light weight and easy to wear it is, so I am excited about this as well. My sister has tried hers out and said it made her skin feel silky and gives a good glow. I guess that is good enough for me.
Chella Dazzling Dark Brown Eyebrow Color Pencil was the next thing I pulled out. It has got good pigmentation and I liked the highlight pencil I got from the brand in my June ipsy, but I am not too excited about this. I am not one to fill in my eyebrows for multiple reasons so this was not my cup of tea. I am sure that I will find some sort of use for this because I do really love the color. Maybe I can use it on my upper lash line for a more natural everyday smokey effect. What do you think I should do with it?
The last and probably most exciting product for me this month is the Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub. I am so eager to go try this out. I have been seeing Michael Todd stuff going around but I was too afraid to purchase it on my own because I have sensitive skin. I can try this and because they gave a 30% off code, which is better than the 20% that has been floating around on youtube, I may buy some products. Who knows, I just really wanna try this. I wish it were the mask, but I do love a good exfoliation!
So there you have it, what I got in my subscription this month. I  recommend it to everyone....wow that sounds like I am being paid to say that, but I swear I am not. I just really like paying so little and getting a bunch of stuff.

June Ipsy Unboxing!

I received my first Ipsy this month and I thought I would share it with you all. I have never gotten a beauty box subscription before and I thought at $10 this was a good one. Of course I did my research and watched unboxing videos on youtube before deciding between Ipsy and Birchbox (also $10). In the end I chose Ipsy and I was pretty pleased with my first time around.

I like the fact that it is in this hot pink bubble wrap kind of packaging, it is really cute. This months these was "On The Wild Side" which I also thought was cute. Am I weird for really liking that card? The little makeup bag that it comes with is already in use. I love the fact that it is on the smaller side and it is a good material as well. I'm not the craziest about animal print, but I do think that it is fun and I don't mind it. Now for the inside!

This is the Cailyn Gel Eyeliner in Iron. This product originally cost $21 and I already got my money's worth with it! This is a full size product. I do wish it was a black color, but beggers can't be choosers. It comes with its own little brush to apply with that connects to the top so that you don't lose it. I have never used gel eyeliner before so I don't know what they should be like, but I tried this out and I really loved it. It went on easily and dried within good time on my eyelids so there was no worrying about it transferring right away. It stayed on well throughout the day without smudging at all. My only issue with it is that as the day went on the color did fade a bit, but I was wearing it from 10 am to 10 pm, everything pretty much fades by 12 hours. I also didn't set it with any eyeshadow like I have seen done before to make gel liners last longer. I didn't have the color I needed to do so. Overall, I am very happy with this product and can't wait to use it more!

This is the Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter and it costs $18 on its own. I am actually very happy with this product. I had never heard of it before, it's safe to say I had never heard of any of the brands except one. I like that it is a highlighter, but it's not BAM in-your-face shimmer. I like to use this on my brow bone, which I think is where it is most used. I also like to use it in the inner corner of my eyes when I am not wearing a load of makeup and don't want shimmer there. It is an all around good product that I am very happy they included. It has already made its way into my daily makeup bag!

Next is the NYX blush in Desert Rose, cost at $5. I like NYX products and had been eyeing this blush in particular for quite some time now. I don't know why I had never picked it up on my own to be honest. It is a beautiful color that I feel looks pretty good on my fair skin. WARNING though, you have to have a light hand with this. I didn't realize how pigmented it was the first time I put it on and well you probably know how that story goes. I also like that it is matte for the most part. It looks like it would be shimmery, like most drugstore blushes are, but it wasn't. The packaging is also really cute and compact.

This is the Starlooks Lip Pencil in Bare, $12. I don't really wear lip pencils to be honest. I might with this, but I will probably end up just giving it to my mom. I did swatch it though and I thought it was a good nude-ish color. It is more of a brownish nude than a pinky nude which is the main reason I am not the biggest fan of it. I wouldn't have bought this on my own, but I'm not too annoyed that it came this month.

J.Cat(?) Beauty Sparkling Cream Palette in Volta, $4.49. This has got to be my least favorite of all and I would have been happier getting just 4 products if it meant that I wouldn't have gotten this. Maybe that is being a bit harsh, but I just feel that I will never get any use out of this. When I first tried to swatch it, it was just fallout so I mixed it a little with my finger and it was just awful. It had a muddy feeling to it and I suppose that is the cream? After that when I swatched it it was more of like glitter glue. There is no color payoff at all with it except for the color of the glitter. I understand why the cost is so low for it.

Overall I am happy with subscription this month with the obvious exception. It totals out to be $60.49, which I can't be mad about at all considering I only paid 10! I would recommend that you go out and get a subscription yourself, because like I said it is only $10. I am very excited to see what else is in store with this subscription!

a/n I am really sorry about the bad photos and the even worse lighting that cause this. I am working on getting a good camera, but they can run a little bit expensive. Also I should have probably taken these photos outside because it was a beautifully sunny day, but that wasn't translating well through my bedroom window.
