Project Ipsy Month 12 Update

Hello lovelies, it is time again for an update on my Project Ipsy. I can't believe that I have been doing this for as long as I have. I am really excited for this year to end so I can restart this project again. I have decided that I am going to be doing it a little differently next year so that I will be able to get more done. However, until then, I will just show you the little progress that I made this month.

I have finished 2 more products this month.

Nourish Organic - Argan Face Serum - This has been helping my skin with the dehydration issue and I have been getting more into serums since I had first started this. I wouldn't purchase this specific one, but I definitely plan on getting my hands on some sort of primer for the winter.

Smashbox - Photofinish Primer - I have had so many of these samples and really I don't know that it makes my foundation last any longer than it would otherwise. So I won't be purchasing this either.

Marc Anthony - Conditioning Treatment - I used this after coloring my hair recently and it smelled really good and actually made my hair pretty soft. The mark is under the word coconut.

Absolute - Lip Balm - I am still working on clearing the one half of it by the end of the year. Not sure how doable it is at this point.

Vasanti - Face exfoliator - I could have jsut used this and been done with it, but nope. I may have used it 2 or three times though.

Mitchel and Peach - Fine Radiance Oil - I have been really enjoying mixing this in with my foundation lately. However I only need 2, 3 drops at most, and it is pretty slow moving.

La Vanilla - Pure Vanilla Roller Ball - I think if I had cared how I smelt over Thanksgiving break I would have been done with this, but I didn't leave for a week and I will smell as I please in my own home haha. Also it was in my room which my brother and his wife from out of town had taken over so I couldn't really get to it.

Not Soap Radio - Liquid Freud - Been making more and more progress on this. My hands have flared into full eczema mode and this will most likely be done by the end of the month since it is always in reach.

Chella - Ivory Lace highlighter crayon - same steady progress with this.

It Cosmetics - Brow Pencil - made the tiniest bit of progress with this from a week of use.

Be A Bombshell - Lip balm - this went missing for a while so there is minuscule progress.

Trestique - lip crayon in Nantucket Nude - I am so proud of the progress on this one. I think I will definitely have this done for the finale!

So there it is. This is not all the products I am working on, but it is the products that I actually have some progress on. There isn't much this month, but with Thanksgiving and the end of the semester coming up, things have been pretty busy and not much has been going on my face. I know I will have a lot more done for the finale, but the total is 39/90.

Sephora VIB Sale Picks!

Hello lovelies! It is that time of year when Sephora has their Fall VIB sale. There are some things that are already waiting in my cart and there are some things that are on my wish list that I am still giving some thought to. Some of these are sold out online as of now, but I hope by this weekend or in store they will still have them I am going to go over some of my picks here!

First Aid Beauty Deep Cleanse Kit - $12
Too Faced Let it Glow Highlight and Blush Kit - $25
Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Set - $25
Sephora Favorites Glow For It - $30
Peter Thomas Roth Mask Sampler Kit - $25
 Origins Bestsellers - $45
Clinique Lip Pop in Beige Pop - $18.50
Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Foundation - $55
Cover FX Custom Cover Drops - $44

Like I said, these are just a couple of the things that I am looking into getting. I probably won't get them all (especially considering some are sold out!), but I feel like it has been a rough semester and I need to spoil myself a little...or a lot. I want to spoil myself a lot.

Is there anything that I am missing on this list that I should check out? What are your picks?

9 by New Years Update #1

Hello lovelies, well it has been 3 weeks I think since my introduction post for what is supposed to be my last project pan for the year. I chose 9 items that I thought would be relatively easy to get through, however I think I may have misjudged a few of them. I'll just get right into it though so you can see for yourself.

To start off, I have reached my goal on 1 product!

Urban Decay - Naked Basics - hit pan in Faint - I used this in my brows and as an eyeliner and it already had a pretty decent dip going through it, so it didn't seem to take too long for me to hit pan.

Essence Lip liner in In the Nude - I keep forgetting to reach for this, but I still managed to make decent progress I think.

Maybelline Babylips in Strike a Rose - I am not a fan of the color of this at all and it does absolutely nothing to moisturize my lips. I mean this may be the worst of all the babylips that I have tried.

Bite Beauty lipstick in Pepper - I love this lipstick. I would definitely be purchasing this in full size soon!

Revlon colorstay eyeliner in charcoal - I am actually pretty surprised that I have gotten that much use out of it. I don't even remember actaully using it more than a couple of times.

Covergirl lipstick in Rush - Love this lipstick but I don't need to reapply so it is definitely slow moving.

Evelyn Iona cream blush in Ash - I have expanded that pan showing on this and I think it will actually be possible for me to get this finished.

Revlon Nearly Naked foundation - I am using it, but I don't like it very much. Because I have so much focus towards it though there is definitely more progress than I had expected.

Urban Decay Naked Basics WOS hit pan - I will probably hit pan on this within the next week. I am using such a large fluffy brush that it will be a lot of pan quickly I think.

So 1 down and 8 to go. I have hope for this project with the exception of one of the lipsticks. I think I am going to need to focus solely on one and then move on to the next, also I need to be reapplying a lot. I think by the next update I will have pan on the shadow for sure. I am going to focus on the Covergirl lipstick and the lip liner as well. I have about a month and 3 weeks to work on all of this so I really have to focus in on all the products.

13 by Halloween Project Pan Roulette Finale

Hello lovelies, Halloween was yesterday and that means that this project that I feel like I have been working on for forever has finally come to an end. I think it felt like a really long project because I was constantly working on 13 items because it was a roulette. This means that I picked my products based on topics that I chose at random. Each time I finished one or met my goal I picked a new topic.

Previously finished:
Update 1 - Urban Decay Beauty Balm, Hit pan on Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.
Update 2 - Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch, hit pan on Tarte Private Chateau shadow.
Update 3 - NYC Get it All foundation stick, NYC bronzer in Sunny.

For the finale I have finished another 3 more products.

Foundation - Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder - this was marked with the black lines. I was shocked to see how much of this I used once I started to use solely this as a foundation. I stopped mixing it or using other things and it really shows with the amount of progress I made. It's nice to have another foundation out of my collection, especially one that is not even close to being my correct shade. I will not be repurchasing this.

Lip Gloss - Tarte Cannes - nice lip gloss, but I know that I don't like the feeling of lip gloss on my lips so I won't be purchasing any more and that it has been nice to be finally using a lot of these up.

The Balm - Single Shadow in Flirty - Can you all see how empty that pan is? I have never used up a shadow completely before so this is kind of a big deal for me. It was a nice purple color that had gold shimmer running through it. I have another of this in the Nude Dude palette so it is nice to be down to only one again.

And now for all the things that I didn't get to finish...

Face Powder - Rimmel Stay Matte technically this was done a while ago since all I wanted to do was hit pan on a relatively new powder, but I said that I would show you all how far I got with it at the end of the project. It is amazing to see that I had so little of this left that I had to crumble it to be able to use it. I can't believe I went through it so quickly!

Highend Product - Mac Studiofinish Concealer - I don't think I've used this even once since the last update. It is a bit dark for me now, but I don't know that I can let myself wait till next summer to use it again since it is pretty old. I think I can get away with it under my foundation and with a really light concealer on top.

Face Primer - Rimmel Stay Matte - I am so surprised at how much of this I have gone through. Face primers usually take me forever and a day to make this type of progress. It is kind of sticky glue type of primer so I will be happy when it is gone, but I am definitely going to give it a rest for a while and use other primers.

Brow Product - Loreal Brow Stylist plumper - There is obviously no way that I can actually show progress on this. However I can tell you that it is starting to dry out, I may be getting rid of this soon. It's alright but I have brow gels that I prefer over this one. I have a full review on it here.

Eye Primer/base - Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Barely Branded - I can count on one hand how many times I actually used this.

Already Hit Pan on - Wet n Wild Reserve your Cabana - I really thought I would be able to get to hit side pan on this, but honestly I have been preferring a really strong highlight and this just doesn't cut it for me.

Highlighter - Benefit Watts Up - I think another month of this and I could have finished it. Still, I am really proud of the amount of progress that I made on it.

Free Choice - Pacifica eyeliner in Fringe - So close to being unable to sharpen this anymore. Feel like I'll actually be able to get through it by the end of the year now.

Cheap Product - Rimmel Nude eyeliner - My eyes have been extra sensitive lately and I just haven't been wanting to wear any sort of eyeliner.

Pink Lipstick - Bite Beauty in Cafe - I haven't been wearing much on my lips except for  lip balm since they have been so dry, thus the tiny progress shown here.

Rimmel - eyeliner in Ivy - I think I used this once since the last update. Like I said I don't want any eyeliner right now.

So 9/13 isn't too bad in my opinion. I completely used up a lot of products including my first bronzer and eye shadow, so I am really happy with how this went. I also made serious progress on products in my Makeup Use Up challenge for the year. There is also the fact that I got good use on products that have been forgotten in my collection like the Bite lipstick and Rimmel primer. Overall a really successful project pan!
