Project 15 Pan Round 2 Update # 1

Hello lovelies, as usual I am trying to play catch up with all of the updates I need to give on my various projects. In case you haven't seen any of my other posts about this project, I am trying to use up 15 products so that I can allow myself to get 3 months of boxycharm. Once I finish 5 products I will move on to a new batch of products so that I don't get too bored with the products that I am working on.

So for this first update I have finished up/ reached my goal on 2 of the products.

1. Nuxe Reve de Miel - This was alright at removing my makeup. It wasn't meant to take off eye makeup so for that reason I wouldn't consider purchasing a full size. I like my makeup removal to be a one and done kind of thing and so I normally use just a regular gel cleanser. This did smell like honey and I love that smell so much that I did have a moment of weakness and thought I would actually purchase it.

2. Tarte art in Montmartre goal hit pan - This is a really pretty bronze shade. I liked this underneath my lash line or to give a little more dimension to a look in the outer v of my eye. I have plenty of shades like this though, so I don't think I will miss it too much.

3. Doo Gro Mega Thick Growth Oil - I only used this once. I need to be more consistent with using it if I am ever going to get rid of it. I really hate how sticky the packaging is at this point.

4. Elf Lip Exfoliator - Didn't use this as much as I should have. It is at my desk so I should get more use out of it, but I am always running late and this is an extra step that I just don't have time for.

5. Mario Badescue Facial Spray - I am so close to being done with this. It has gotten warmer recently and I find myself constantly spraying my face with this to cool down. I also like to spray it after I have cleansed my face to give some added moisture and to help calm it a bit.

6. Mary Kay Botanical Effects Toner - I used this once. I don't even think my lines are accurate. I just don't like that I have to spray it on a cotton round and then put it on my face. I much prefer spraying directly on my face since it is quicker. However it is more than I would have used it otherwise so I am happy I put it in this project!

7. Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub - Really need to get this out. I just wasn't reaching for it much.

8. BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar body butter - I got a good amount of this out. I think I will have to remove any hand creams from next to my bed because I have just been moisturizing my hands before bed instead of everything like I would with this. I can only use this at night though because it is much thicker than a regualr lotion.

9. Lather Ultra light face lotion - Haven't used this much because I have been focusing on other products. I am reaching for it more now, so I think this will be done soon enough.

10. NYC City Proof 24 hr eye primer - I have gotten insane use out of this product! I am really proud of myself actually. It isn't as dry as it used to be and I don't know why, but I really don't care because it is so quick and easy in the morning. Really helps with the longevity of my shadows!

11. NYC bb cream - I have gotten more use out of this than I thought I would. I mix this with my garnier bb cream to help lighten up the color and make it look less greasy and I have really enjoyed using it like that. I dont really know how it performs on its own though. I probably wouldn't repurchase again.

12. Jouer cream highlighter in Tiare - I use this every single day and I don't understand how I haven't hit pan yet. You can definitely see where I focus my finger when I go into the product, but still no pan. Hopefully by next month so I can go back to trying to finish up my benefit watts up cream highlighter.

13. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Brightener - I haven't used this much at all. I feel like it has been caking up my bb cream and that my makeup always looks kind of off if I try to pair this with the maybelline fit me concealer. I can't use this on its own though because the color is so off. I don't know what I will do with this product just yet.

14. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded - I have been so focused on the NYC primer that I haven't reached for this one much. The NYC one is just quicker and doesn't make my fingers as messy as this one.

15. Essence lip liner in In the Nude - Have gotten some use out of this, not much though. It is lighter than my lips and I don't know how much I like that. It is a fine lip liner, just not so much the color.

So, there is my update. I think I could have done better with this project, but I did get 2 products out of the way. 3 more to go before I change up the products again.

Goals for next month -
Finish Mario Badescu spray, unless I lose it there is no way that I can't get this done.
Hit pan on the Jouer highlighter.

*Note - these photos were taken on the 25th, I have just been too lazy to finish typing this up.*

7 by Summer Solstice Roulette Update # 1

Hello lovelies, I have my first update for the 7 by Summer Solstice challenge. It has been a couple of weeks since I did my intro, and I have to say I am pretty happy with my progress so far on almost all of the products!

Item that was a gift - Urban Decay Ammo Palette - hit pan on Sin - There is a pretty good dip on this color. I like to use it as an all-over lid shade or as an inner corner highlight. I have been really enjoying having this palette out and experimenting with all of the shadows in here!

Single Shadow - Maybelline Made for Mocha - I haven't used this too much. Typically as an eyeliner when I do use it, but I have been running out the door a lot lately or have been too exhausted to actually do much with my makeup, so there isn't too much of a dip in there yet.

Bronzer - NYC Sunny - I have expanded the pan on this and half of it is definitely thinner than the other half. I have to be a little careful because I feel like this is going to just crumble to pieces soon.

Beautiful Packaging - Tarte lipgloss in Paris - This is so small and I should have more progress on it, but I don't because I keep forgetting to put it on. Hopefully over the next month I can remember to use it more often.

Maybelline product - Color Whisper in Pin Up Peach - I didn't think I used this that much, but I seemed to have used a really good amount of it. Still loving the color and I am happy I was able to add it into this project.

Lip liner - Essence in Satin Mauve - Haven't used this too much. Hopefully I will start picking use. I use lip liners to fill in my lips so I can usually get through them pretty quickly if I remember to actually use a lip liner.

Black eye liner - Coastal Scents xpress Line in Black - I can only use this on my upper lashline because it doesn't show up in my tightline (which is where I usually use black liner) so there isn't much progress. Like I said with the maybelline shadow, I just don't have enough time or I am too tired to try and place this correctly on my lash line. Liquid liner is a lot quicker for me and so this is still taking some time to get used to.

So there is my first update. Like I said before, for 2 weeks this is some pretty good progress. I look forward to seeing what I can do in the span of a month for my next update! Let me know in the comments if you are doing this challenge as well.

Finish 7 by Spring Finale!

Hello lovelies and happy spring! I have the finale for my Finish 7 by Spring project pan. I managed to completely use up 4 products, and I was pretty close on the last 3.

Previously finished:
Update 1: None
Update 2: Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana (hit pan), Wet n Wild Contour palette (hit pan on contour)

I finished 2 more products this time, but I completely forgot to photograph one of them because I forgot it was a part of the project until I just looked over my list again. Oh well, I'm human.

The one not photographed is the Wet n Wild Coverall Powder. I loved this powder a lot. I don't know if it is because it is in an actual color and not just another translucent powder, which is my usual choice, but I really enjoyed this powder. I liked that it gave me some extra coverage on the days that I wore something on my skin that was just too sheer. I have already repurchased this an can't wait until I get to use it once I finish another powder that I am working on.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob - this is a really creamy lip liner and I knew that I would easily get through it. I like the formula for being able to use on its own by just filling in the lips, however I wasn't a fan of the color. I am definitely going to repurchase just in a different color.

CVS Brow Pencil in Brown - I was really close on this. I have been playing around with different brow products and I think that is what stalled me from finishing this off. However, I did make the most progress this month and I think I will be done with this soon enough.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Yummy Plummy - I am so annoyed at myself for not finishing this. I think putting it in my purse between update 1 and 2 was a huge mistake because I probably would have been done with it otherwise. I have another baby lips in my One Brand Project Pan, but once I am done with that one I will get this one finished and be left with only one more baby lips in my collection. So ready for them to be moved out already.

dr. brandt Pores no More primer - I was really trying to get this one done, but you can definitely put too much of this on. I am not sure if I should just give this away or push through and finish the rest. I feel like I have made it too far to just get rid of it. I will be happy when it is gone regardless.

So there it is. 4 out of 7 is the majority and I am happy with that. These are all products that I probably wouldn't have gone through otherwise. How did all of your Finish 7 by Spring project pans go?

My Collection - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eye Liners

Hello lovelies, here is a very small look at some of the many eyeliners that I seemed to have accumulated way more than I will need. I have a variety of eyeliners in different colors and brands, and this happens to be the ones that I have the most of.

These Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners are some of my favorites. They are so smooth and last on the waterline for a really long time. They are also really true to color meaning they look on the waterline, or wherever you choose to put them, the exact way they look in the pencil. Such full color without having to go over the same place multiple times. I hate having to go over my waterline 3 or 4 times just to get the color to show up, with these that is not an issue.

My 2 favorites that I have actually repurchased already are turquoise and nude. Nude is an essential step to my daily makeup routine. Perfect shade for brightening my eyes and making me look more awake. Turquoise is the perfect color for really making my brown eyes look brighter. I typically wear that one underneath my lash line, smudged out a bit. If you have brown eyes just try it out and you can thank me later.

They are so creamy and such a dream to use. I have tried a few of the Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencils, which these have been compared to, and I much prefer these. They last longer than the Urban Decay ones, however I do with the color range was as great as the one that UD has.

The only one of these that I would not repurchase is the black one. I find that when I use it on my tightline it transfers to my lower lash line. It also smudges around my eyes. Not in a terrible way that makes me have panda eyes, but it is the reason that I wouldn't go for this particular color once I get through this one. It may be because they are so creamy though that it does that.

Overall, if you are at the drugstore and looking for a bright and fun eyeliner but you don't want to break the bank, these are definitely the way to go at around $4 a piece. I know that there is a brown one, but I am not too interested in getting that one. However, there is a taupe one that I really want to try.

Wet n Wild Makeup Brushes Review

From L to R: Powder Brush, Large Eyeshadow Brush, Crease Brush, Flat Top Brush

Hello lovelies, I have a quick review of the new Wet n Wild makeup brushes. I own 4 out of the 17 that they make. I didn't see that many of them in the Walgreens that I went to. That was where I had seen them first, but they have slowly been making their way into other stores.

The brushes range between $0.99 and $2.99. Some of them are sold exclusively online. They all have white handles that have a small imprint where you can place your thumb. The bristles are "two-toned synthetic Polymax fibers that mimics the consistency of natural hairs." They are pink and white bristles. They are only labeled on the packaging, but not on the brushes themselves.

These brushes are really soft and apply product really well. I get an even application every time with these brushes.

Powder brush: I have been using this for my blush and I like using it that way. I can see this working for bronzer and an all over face powder as well. It is fluffy, but still has a denseness to it.

Large Eyeshadow brush: This is a nice brush for doing a one-shadow look. It is really pinched in at the bottom of the bristles, but gets fluffier to the top. The way I think of it is that it is a cross between a flat shader and crease brush.

Crease Brush: This has grown to be in my top crease brushes. It helps that fluffy crease brushes are the ones I own the most of in my collection because they are just my favorites. I don't know why, but they are. This one doesn't disappoint either. It is the perfect amount of fluffiness to be perfect for transition shades and for defusing shadows. This is my favorite out of all the ones I got from this line.

Flat top brush: This is an interesting brush. It isn't a standard flat top brush that I would use to blend out my foundation, which is what I usually use these brushes for. It gets kind of loose at the top instead of staying dense. It isn't too bad with bb creams since they aren't too thick of a consistency. I also like this for blending out primers, the silicon feeling ones like the Smashbox Photo Finish primer. I might try using this brush to blend out a cream contour, because it seems like it would do that well.

Overall they are nice brushes that are great quality for the price. I have had some issues with shedding, but it may have been the batch that I bought from because I haven't heard too many others complaining about that. I think that if you are on a budget and don't have too much to spend on brushes that these are some of the best quality for the price. The only others that are similar in quality and price are the ELF brushes with the black handles, but I believe those range between 3 and 6 dollars a piece. I hope they make them all available in stores soon.

One Brand Project Pan - Maybelline Update #2

Hello lovelies, I have an update on my one brand project pan that I have been doing. For this project I chose 5 products to work on and I already hit one of my goals at the last update. This time around I hit my goal for another product.

Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - I hit pan on it. That was my goal and I have only used it a couple of times since. I am not too worried about getting this one of my cream shadows done this year, so it is going to be one the side for a while I think. Once I get through my other bronze colored cream shadow though this will definitely be the only one I use.

Color Sensational lipstick in Nude Lust - I haven't been reaching for this all that much lately. I can't wear it on its own unless I wear it really sheerly because it just doesn't look the best with my skin tone. It is a nice center lip color though to add some dimension to the lips. I also really like it on top of really matte lipsticks because it brings some moisture back to my lips.

Fit Me concealer - I use this every single day. I don't understand how I am not done with it yet. I decided that I am not going to take out the stopper only because this isn't as great a color for me as it used to be and it isn't an expensive product so I am not missing out on much. Anyway I know that if I pull that stopper out I will be using this easily for another month or two and I really want to move on to something else at this point.

Babylips in Just Peachy - Haven't used this one much since I am focusing on the one I have to finish for Spring. Once I get through that one though I will definitely be giving this one my all. Once I get through the 2 in my projects I will only have one more of these babylips to get through....there is an end in sight.

So I said I will be only taking this project until April 10th and that means only one more month. I think I can finish the babylips in that time, but that is about it. The concealer I will probably just declutter since I have had it for so long. The lipstick I will just have to work really hard on getting more use out of it. I have already used it more during this project than I probably would have otherwise and that is enough for me.

7 by Summer Solstice - Roulette Style

Hello lovelies, I have decided to do yet another project pan. I wasn't going to do this one because I am not going to be wearing makeup for the month of Ramadan (June 6 - July 5), and this project doesn't end till the 20th of June. However, I just can't help myself and I figured if I start it now then I will have 3 months to work on the products, the same as I would if I had started from the 20th of this month and went until the 20th of June. I didn't want to just choose a bunch of random products from my collection that I knew that I could get through, instead I wanted to do it roulette style. I feel like those kinds of project pans are a little more challenging and I could work on things that I probably wouldn't have otherwise. Anyway, long introduction over and I will get right into the products that I chose!

1. Item that was a gift - Urban Decay Ammo Palette - I want to just hit pan on the color Sin in this palette. I think it is such a beautiful palette and I hardly pull it out, so this was a nice category for me to choose. I don't typically get makeup as gifts and it was between this and a Tarte palette, but I really wanted to get more use out of this. It will be the most challenging I think since I have hardly used this palette at all and when I have I don't typically reach for this shade I go for more of the brighter colors.

2. Black Eyeliner - Coastal Scents Xpress Line - I was so bummed when I chose this because if you are following my other project pans than you know that I have a black eyeliner in my Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo. I went with this eyeliner since I haven't really used it much at all and I really just want to get some use out of it. No where in my mind do I think I can finish it, but I just want to get some use out of it and that will be fine with me since it isn't that old of an eyeliner.

3. Beautiful Packaging - Tarte lipgloss in Paris - This was in the Away Oui Go holiday 2014 set and I haven't used it at all. I got more use out of the other 2 lipglosses that were in the set. It still smells and looks fine, but I really want these out of my collection since I don't reach for them nearly enough. They are good lipglosses though because they last a good while on the lips and are just the right amount of pigmented. It is a smaller size so I am really hoping that I can actually get through it.

4. Bronzer - NYC Smooth Skin Sunny Bronzer - My goal is to get through half of this. I already have decent pan, so it shouldn't be too hard to get there.

5. Lip Liner - Essence Satin Mauve - Yet another product that I wasn't too crazy to choose. I have 3 lip liners in project already, but I guess there is room for 1 more. I have 2 of this same liner since I ordered one not realizing that I already own it, but it is a nice color and I don't hate the formula. I don't think I will get through this whole thing, but I am excited to see how far I can get.

6. Single Eye Shadow - Maybelline Made for Mocha - I chose this shadow since I don't have much progress in it just yet and I wanted to challenge myself (as if everything else isn't challenging enough!). I used to use this in my brows and I feel like it is quicker to fill them in with powder than it is pencil. It is also a softer look and that is what I go for in the Spring/Summer. Using this will be put off until I get through the pencils that I am using for 2 other projects though, so I will have to see where this will go. I just have to make sure to put my brush in the same spot every time.

7. Maybelline Product - Color Whisper in Pin Up Peach - This is one of my favorite colors to wear in the spring. It is such a pretty wash of color and brightens up a look. I figured I might want a product that I am really going to enjoy if all else fails in this project. I have a good amount of product to get through, but I am not too worried.

Well, there it is; the 7 products I am going to be working on for the next 3 months. I really hope I can make some decent progress on all of these items, if I can do that I will be happy. Again, the reason I chose to do it roulette style was so I could use products that I wasn't regularly using. I will do my first update on the 20th of this month and then monthly after that. Happy panning everyone!

Writing Prompt #6

March 6, 2015

Thunderstorms...inspiring or scary?

Thunderstorms are neither of those things for me. I remember when there was a time where I was definitely afraid of thunderstorms. When I was too old to go sleep in my parents room, I would go downstairs and watch TV. I remember that I knew exactly where all the squeaks in the floor boards were, and I would hit the mute button the second I turned on the TV so that no one would know that I was awake and down there. I would just sit and watch infomercials because there wasn't anything else on around 3-4 in the morning that would really appeal to a kid and we didn't have on demand or dvr like we do now. Then, at some point in my like I just stopped being afraid. I don't really know what it is that made me change views on it, but I am happy that it happened. It's funny because where I couldn't sleep before when there was a storm, well now I sleep like a baby. When there is a thunderstorm during the day I just want to snuggle up with a soft blanket, have a warm cup of tea, and watch a movie. That is basically like my perfect day in case you were wondering. If it a storm during the summer and it isn't too crazy outside I like to go sit out on  the front porch and watch what nature has to offer. I love the smell of rain as it falls and the sound just puts me at ease.

It's kind of funny to see how much we change as the years go on in our lives. Now I want to think about all the other things that I have completely reversed in my life.

Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo Update # 1

Hello lovelies, it is time to do my first update for the Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo project pan. So I am pretty happy with the progress that I have made so far with all of these products. I met my goal on one of the products already, and I'll start with that.

Wet n Wild Sweet as Candy trio - goal = hit pan on browbone shade. I was using this with a pretty wispy brush as a brow bone highlight and I am surprised at how much I actually like it there. I am particular about using a matte highlight for my brow bone because I prefer the look of it, but this wasn't too bad. I am happy that I pulled this out again since it has been a while since I have used it.

Now to the products I haven't finished...

Icing Plumping lip gloss - This is my issue with clear lip glosses, you have to be careful about what you put them on top of. Anyway, if I keep up the same progress I should be able to have this finished by May 5th, especially considering I already know I am not going to be taking out the stopper.

Garnier BB Cream - I definitely prefer the one that is for combo/oily skin over this one. I find that my skin gets so greasy looking when I am using this alone. I have been really enjoying using it with the NYC matte bb cream. Using it with that product has made it the perfect face product for me. There is still a natural glow to my skin, but it isn't as over the top as it was when I was using this as a stand alone product. Also, this is way too dark for me. I never realized how much it oxidizes on my skin.

Tarte hit pan on Macarons for You (top matte shade) - Still haven't hit pan on this. Since I use such a fluffy crease brush with this, I can't really target my brush in the same way that I normally do to hit pan on a shadow quickly. I think when I do hit pan it will be bigger than what I can normally achieve so I guess that is alright. I have never hit pan on one of these shadows before so I don't actually know how deep the pan is.

Rimmel Scandaleyes in Black - I made alright progress. I think it is definitely more than I have made in the past with any eye liner. I only use this in my tightline so I was shocked when I made that progress line. I feel like I have to sharpen it more now than I used to because the pencil part scratches my lid if I don't. Because of that I think I will actually be able to get through this by May 5th.

Jordana Easy Liner for Lips in Rock n Rose - Definitely didn't make as much progress on this as I would have liked to. I want to get the Rimmel one I have in another project finished first so I have been reaching for that over this. Also, this is kind of dark for the springier lips I have been going for lately. I should have considered that when I made the decision to add this in the project. I do  think I can get through it though because it is my favorite lip liner and I like the way it looks under lip balms and when I want to add more depth to my lips if I am wearing a nude lipstick.

I am pretty happy with my progress so far. I feel like I could have done better with certain products, but I am pretty confident that I will be able to get through all of this by May 5th. I think by the next update I will have hit pan on that Tarte shadow, and if I am consistent enough I can get through the lip gloss as well.

Empties - January and February

Hello lovelies, here are the products that I used up in the months of January and February. I didn't use these start to finish between these months, but I did use them up completely in those months.

Dr. Brandt - Pores no More Vacuum Cleaner - This was a really nice mask that I used to clear out my pores. It worked well enough, however I couldn't even get through this sample because it went bad. I didn't even have it open for that long, but it just went bad. Because of that I can't justify paying full price for this product.

Clear Eyes - for contact lens - These are so useful on days where I put on my contacts at 8 am and don't take them out until around 10 pm. I bought a new one and tossed this because the expiration date got rubbed off and I don't want to risk putting them in my eyes if it has gone off.

Dove - Advanced Care deodorant - Let's just say that I won't be purchasing a full size of this.

Johnsons and Johnsons - baby shampoo - Love this for cleaning my brushes. I tried using other things, but have gone back to this except this time I bought a huge bottle of it.

Loreal - Volume Filler Shampoo - This was alright. It did make my hair look more volumized, however I prefer the Total Repair line from this brand. It makes my hair softer and I like the smell of it better as well.

Simple - Moisturizing facial wash - This was alright. It doesn't do magical things for my skin, but I am happy that I have finally gone through it. I have had this for way too long and it was taking up a lot of space.

Sephora - Pearl Sleeping Mask - This was the one that is for brightening your skin if I am not mistaken. I actually really enjoyed this mask. I think $4 is a bit much, however it is not just a one time use kind of thing. I got a good handful of uses from this, that being said, you will need a container to put this in because the top is not resealable. Other than that minor flaw I really enjoyed using this, especially on nights when I felt my cheeks looked a little redder than usual.

ELF - Contouring Blush and Bronzer - I decided to get rid of this. There is still a bit of product left in it and I was going to try to finish it this year, however I have had this for way too long for me to still feel comfortable about using this on my skin. The bronzer always looked patchy on me and I liked using it as an eye shadow more than as a bronzer. The blush, not my favorite formula and life is too short and there are too many blushes in my collection for me to spend the rest of the year trying to use this up. Also, there was always hard-pan on it and that really bothered me.

Chapstick - Strawberry flavor - I love this. Will always repurchase. This is my favorite lip balm for when I am at work.

EOS - Strawberries and Cream - as much as I love the smell of this, I won't be repurchasing. I have other lip balms that I think are just better and I am not a fan of the shape of this one at all.

Temptu - Pink Pearl highlighter - Had to toss this because it started to really separate and it wasn't coming out of the bottle the right color. Didn't want to risk applying it to my face if it has gone off.

Jordana - Best Lash Extreme - I don't get the hype over this mascara. I think my lashes look alright with it. If I remember correctly, it gave me pretty good volume, but I am not sure about length. I don't know if I would repurchase this, but I would consider it....you know, once I get through the million mascaras I already own now.

Maybelline - Great Lash in So Very Berry - This was alright. I liked the color of it a lot, but it smudged like crazy under my eyes. Would look into purchasing colored mascara again, just not this one.

Rimmel - Lash Accelerator Endless - This is the mascara that opened up my eyes to what a fiber mascara can really do. My lashes would touch my eye brows when ever I used this and it didn't clump up my lashes or anything. However as good as the length was the volume wasn't always there. This is a good mascara to pair with others that need a little help in the length department.

So I got through quite a bit of products in the last 2 months. I really need to start moving some of my older products out, so I think it is safe to say that I will be getting through more skin care products in the next few coming months.

Project Ipsy March Update

Hello lovelies, I come to you after another month of using some of my ipsy products. This has been a rather unsuccessful month and I'm not sure if it is because it was a slightly shorter month or because I actually just completely forgot about these products. Either way, something went wrong and I didn't finish anything and there isn't much progress on the products that I actually did make progress on. I also failed at getting 10 products and I don't know what happened there either. So, I guess I'll get right into it.

NYX Blush in Desert Rose - I don't think I used this more than once this month. I actually put it away and was experimenting with other blushes in my collection. I did use one that was from ipsy though. I am going to switch this out with another product since it isn't so springy.

Sexy Hair Spray Clay - Didn't style my hair at all this month since there hasn't been much time, so there is zero progress on this.

Pacifica Duo in Natural Beauty - I have been using the white shade that has shimmer in it as an inner corner highlight. You can see that I have a really good dip in the eye shadow. If I had made more of an effort to use it this past week I would have probably hit pan on it already, but I have been preferring a much more natural look by using the Chella highlight pencil instead.

Mary Kay Jelly Lip gloss in Teddy Bare - this has such little progress on it. However, considering how much I don't like to use lipglosses (especially one this pigmented!) this is some decent progress. It may take me all year, but I will get through this one!

dr. brandt Microdermabrasion - there is literally no excuse for why I couldn't finish the tiniest face scrub.

Em Michelle Waterliner in Turquoise - I am disappointed that I don't see the progress with this liner at all this month. I used it a handful of times, but I think because I use it over the Chella Pencil I don't have to warm it up on the back of my hand of go over it a bunch of times to get the product to show up. Putting this one away for a little while.

Chella Ivory Lace Highlight pencil - Steady enough progress on this. Again something I thought I was using more of, but the progress lines aren't reflective of that. It takes a while before I have to sharpen this so that is probably why.

J Cat Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - Steady progress with this as well. I don't hate it yet so I don't mind using if for another couple of months or so.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready - no progress here.

And now time for the products I am going to swap out a couple of other ones with.

Briogeo Don't Depair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask - This was in another project and is really close to being done already, however I want an easy product because I need to finish something already. This has about 2 more uses in it.

Starlooks Gem Pencil in Amethyst - No where in my mind do I think that I could finish this pencil this year, but I do want to use it for a couple of months just to make sure that I am getting some use out of it, much like the other eye liner.

NYX Butter Lip Balm in Red Velvet - This is going to take me forever to get through because it is a very red lip balm. I am not a fan of the way this looks on me so it will probably be something I only wear when I am at home and have a mirror close by, but I will get through this...even if it takes me all year!

So there are the 10 products that I will be working on for this month. I really hope I can get some more progress on these products and actually finish some off, but we will have to see I guess.

Goals:
Finish dr. brandt microdermabrasion, briogio hair mask, and hit pan on shadow in Pacifica duo.

As of now I have completed 14 out of the 91 goal for the end of the year...I am about on the right track, but I would like to finish the products that I am working on in this challenge specifically.

March Mini Madness

Hello lovelies, I was watching youtube videos today...you know, like I do all day, everyday...and I saw that one of the project panners that I love to watch, Lauren Mae Beauty, posted a video called March Mini Madness Intro. She got this idea to use 32 samples products from Lindsey Zal's video here. Go ahead and give it a watch if you would like. Essentially the goal of this little mini project is to use as many samples as you can in a month but the final goal is 32. I thought this would be a good idea for me since I wasn't really into the 365 Days of Samples that has been circulating instagram and now youtube. Anyway there are a lot of products to list so I will get right into it!

1. Prada Candy Perfume - I love the scent of this, but I need to start using up my perfume samples.

2. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

3 - 5. Skin + Pharmacy Glycolic Peel Pad - I don't know whats in here, but I am excited to try them.

6. Ahava Mineral Hand Cream

7. Sephora Day and Night Cream

8. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask - I have 3 samples of this in there and I am excited to see if this is as good as people say.

9 - 10. Clinique 3 Step: Cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize.

11. Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer

12. Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo - Already have some good use in this.

13. Dove Oxygen Moisture Conditioner - Same here.

14. Sisley - Black Rose Cream Mask - I have had this for way too long and need to just use it already.

15. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Cleanser - I have used a sample of this before and I remember liking it, so I will be happy to use this.

16 - 17. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Makeup Stick - I want these out because they are some big samples. I won't even use all the shades in there since some of them are too dark.

18. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

19. Urban Decay Sheer Liar lipstick sample

20. Urban Decay Failbait lipgloss sample

21. Urban Decay Matte Stark Naked lipstick sample - I count all three of these UD samples in my inventory (for some very insane reason) and I want them out because they should not count.

22. Smashbox Photofinish Primer - I have so little of this left because it was in a past project pan, so hopefully I can get this out of my inventory as well.

23. Benefit Porefessional - Another sample that takes up too much space.

24 - 26. Almay Smart Shade

27 - 28. Laneige BB Cushion - Kind of excited to give this whole cushion trend a try!

29. Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer - I don't know if all four of these shades will work for me, but I would like to see if this stuff is any good since tarte is always doing random sales and I could know if I would want to purchase this next time around.

30. Hourglass Immaculate Foundation - I have 3 of these little packets. They're all in the shade Nude and I don't know what that looks like. I feel like it may come out too dark. I'll just have to try it on a day when I am not doing too much.

31. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo - Another huge sample that I want gone. Also I want to see what all the hype is about.

32. Becca Under Eye Brightening Correcter - I can only use the brightener shade in this, so I want it out of my collection. No sense in having it around taking up space right?

So, there is the 32 samples that I would like to move out of my collection. As I mentioned after some of the products, I count them as part of my inventory. Especially if it is something that I can get more than one use out of. I am worried about some of this stuff going bad before I actually get to use it and well there is no sense in wasting product. I am excited to give the Urban Decay lipsticks a try since I have heard some mixed reviews about them, same goes for the Bite Agave lip mask. I will do an update about half way through the month.

Side note - Sorry for the terrible photos. I wanted to get this up as soon as I saw the video, but I was in class all morning and the small hour I had before work I used to watch the video, choose to join in, and then choose the products. The lighting would have been terrible regardless because we got hit with what is hopefully our last snow fall this winter.
