Project Ipsy Month 5 Update

Hello lovelies, here is the next month of my year long project ipsy. There wasn't as much progress as I would have liked to have seen, and I didn't finish anything. Because of this I decided that I needed to add more products anyway because if I waited until I finished something to add a new product in, I would never make any decent progress. 

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer - used this a few times. I have to be very careful about where I put this because it leaves glitter particles on my face everywhere. 

Mary Kay lip gloss in Teddy Bare - I have been making very steady progress with this lip gloss. I put it on whenever I remember to, but it isn't something that I would wear on its own because it is so sticky and opaque. 

Chella Ivory lace highlighting pencil - same steady progress here. 

J Cat Big Lip Pencil - this had very little progress, I think now that it is spring I will probably try and reach for this some more since it is a peachy color.

Bare Minerals Get Ready lipstick - I am going to go ahead and assume that this mark is from this month, I made it at the beginning of the month so I am not sure. If it is, at least there was some progress this month! 

NYX Butter Lip Balm - this is so red and patchy that I have to be very careful when I put it on. I have been trying to reach for it more but it isn't that moisturizing so I feel like it is pointless to use it, but I will get through the whole thing if it takes me all year!

Starlooks Amethyst eyeliner - I really enjoy using this when I want something a little extra. I don't think it is possible for me to be able to get through the whole thing in this year though.

The products I am adding in:

Pure Brazillion Leave in Conditioner - I have had this for a while, and I don't really reach for leave in conditioners so adding it into this project is probably the only way I would get through it. I do really like the smell of this though so I don't think I will be too bothered to use it. 

Absolute lip balm in Green Apple - I am not a fan of lip balms that you have to stick your finger into, so I want to move through this as soon as possible. 

So, I am now working on 12 products total. I have used up 22 ipsy products from my goal of 90. I'm getting there, slowly but surely getting there. 

One Brand Project Pan: Maybelline Finale

Hello lovelies, I have the finale for my first one brand project pan for you all today. I was able to finish another 2 products so I decided to just end it here. I meant to do this last month, but missed the date when I normally would post for this project and decided to just take it on for another month until the concealer was finished since it was so close anyway. 

I love the Fit Me concealer and I plan on repurchasing it in the future once I get through a few more concealers, but I plan on getting it in a lighter shade. This is one of my favorite concealers. I love how light it feels on the skin but still has decent coverage. Every time I use something else and then go back to this one I fall in love with it all over again. 

I originally started the project with the Baby Lips in Peach Kiss. However, my niece got ahold of it and she was sick at the time so I just let her have it. I swapped it out with another baby lips (Yummy Plummy) that was roughly in the same place as it. I completely used it up.

The only product left was the colorsensational lipstick in Nude Lust. I managed to get through half of this lipstick which is way more than I would have otherwise. I enjoyed using this as a center lip highlight or to create an ombre effect with darker lipsticks. 

Overall, I was able to finish 3 products completely and have some serious progress on the other 2. I would call that a pretty successful project! I am considering doing this with another brand, maybe a highend one since I feel the outcome of it was pretty good. Any brand suggestions?

Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo Finale

Hello lovelies, I have the finale for my Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo project pan for you all today. I had 6 products in the project and I was still not able to finish 5 of them. But I am now moving a few empties out of my collection and I am okay with that. 

Previously used:

1st update: Hit pan on the browbone shade in the Wet n Wild Sweet as Candy trio

2nd update: Hit pan on the Macarons for you shade by Tarte from the Away Oui Go palette

Finale:

Jordana Rock n Rose - I was able to finish this completely up. I really enjoy the Jordana easy liners for lips. I already have a backup of this because I not only love the formula, but the shade as well. I will always have this in my collection.

Garnier BB Cream - I finished this on the 4th so it was definitely a close call. This is my favorite bb cream that I have tried and I have tried quite a few. I will definitely repurchase and I already have a backup of this as well.

Now the 2 products I couldn't finish...

Rimmel Scandaleyes in Black - I have definitely been neglecting this product. Mainly because I am just too lazy to tightline and that is pretty much the only place I wear black eyeliner for the most part. I might add this to a future project because I am so close to getting it finished off. It is not my favorite black liner so I wouldn't repurchase this.

Icing Plumping Lip Gloss - I don't understand how I didn't finish this. There really isn't that much left. I realized too late in the project that this looks stunning paired with nothing but the Jordana lip liner. Once that was finished though I stopped reaching for this. 

So there you have it, a bit late but I promise I stopped using those last 2 when the 5th came around. Like I said I was able to completely finish up 2 products and that doesn't usually happen for me so I am really happy about that, especially considering they are 2 products from my Makeup Use Up goals for this year! Project 15 Pan Round 2 Update #2

Hello lovelies, today I have a pretty late update for my project 15 pan. I have managed to finish 2 more products and that means that I only need to finish 1 more before I move on to the next round. I have good progress on some items, but there are others that I have clearly neglected. I'll just get right into it.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray - this wasn't difficult to finish off. I really enjoy this product and it is fairly inexpensive so I will continue to repurchase it, I already have a back up ready to be used once I get through some other facial sprays that I have had longer.

CVS Brow Pencil in Taupe - I can no longer get this out of the cap so I am calling it done. There wasn't much product left anyway and sharpening was becoming a pain. Also to actually use it was beginning to be very difficult since it was such a small pencil. I liked the color of this underneath a darker shadow and it was a good base for shadows to stick to. Won't repurchase, but it was nice while it lasted.

BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Butter - really love this stuff but since it is so thick I only use it at night and I keep forgetting to use it. I have hit the side of the container though which is good. I hope to use up half of this by the next update though at least.

Doo Gro Mega Thick Growth Oil - I used this a couple of times since I have been home and able to do so, but I am really ready for this to just be done with. I won't be home as much since I am starting classes up again so I don't know how often I will get to use this, but I am happy that I made more progress than I have been making.

NYC Smooth Skin bb creme - Not as much progress because I was focusing on another bb cream, but I don't have much left in here. I might start using it on its own so it will probably be done quicker.

Lather Ultra Light Face Lotion - Getting through this. I don't really care for it especially since there is no SPF in it, but it does the job well enough now that my skin isn't as dry as it was a couple of months ago.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind - Made the tiniest bit of progress on this. Hopefully will be able to kick it into high gear with this and get through it since I am not as big a fan of it as I used to be. I feel like it cakes up a lot underneath my eyes and it was breaking down the bb cream I was using it with.

Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub - Still enjoying this product.

NYC 24 Hr City Proof - Haven't been wearing much eye shadow so there isn't much progress. 

ELF Lip Exfoliator - Still don't like this product much and you can see that in my progress.

Essence Lip Liner in In The Nude - Have been focusing on lip liners in other projects over this one.

Jouer highlighter in Tiare - Stopped using this so I can focus on benefit watts up

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded - used this maybe twice

Mary Kay botanical effects toner - didn't even use this once. I am lazy sometimes.

I have a few products here that I definitely can see finishing up by the next update or at least making huge dents in them. Getting that much closer to reaching my goal of 15 products so I can get boxy charm, only between this project and my project ipsy, I am actually considering not getting the subscription. I still have to finish 6 more products so who knows what I will be thinking when that happens. I'm just happy to be getting through some more products.
