My Collection - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eye Liners

Hello lovelies, here is a very small look at some of the many eyeliners that I seemed to have accumulated way more than I will need. I have a variety of eyeliners in different colors and brands, and this happens to be the ones that I have the most of.

These Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners are some of my favorites. They are so smooth and last on the waterline for a really long time. They are also really true to color meaning they look on the waterline, or wherever you choose to put them, the exact way they look in the pencil. Such full color without having to go over the same place multiple times. I hate having to go over my waterline 3 or 4 times just to get the color to show up, with these that is not an issue.

My 2 favorites that I have actually repurchased already are turquoise and nude. Nude is an essential step to my daily makeup routine. Perfect shade for brightening my eyes and making me look more awake. Turquoise is the perfect color for really making my brown eyes look brighter. I typically wear that one underneath my lash line, smudged out a bit. If you have brown eyes just try it out and you can thank me later.

They are so creamy and such a dream to use. I have tried a few of the Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencils, which these have been compared to, and I much prefer these. They last longer than the Urban Decay ones, however I do with the color range was as great as the one that UD has.

The only one of these that I would not repurchase is the black one. I find that when I use it on my tightline it transfers to my lower lash line. It also smudges around my eyes. Not in a terrible way that makes me have panda eyes, but it is the reason that I wouldn't go for this particular color once I get through this one. It may be because they are so creamy though that it does that.

Overall, if you are at the drugstore and looking for a bright and fun eyeliner but you don't want to break the bank, these are definitely the way to go at around $4 a piece. I know that there is a brown one, but I am not too interested in getting that one. However, there is a taupe one that I really want to try.

Finish 13 by Halloween Finale

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Today, I bring you all my final update for my Finish 13 by Halloween Project Pan.

First are the products that I finished:

I don't remember the order I finished these, but you can go look back on the first 2 updates that I did. I have the blush and bronzer from the Blushed/Bronzed contour duo which I wanted to hit pan on each and did that. I think once I finish this blush I will just toss it, the bronzer is splotchy and keeps getting hard pan. Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Natural is a great powder that I will definitely be repurchasing now that I have finished this one. The Yaby Natural Finish liquid foundation took a lot longer to finish than I thought. It looks like there is some in the but nothing was coming out anymore. It was alright, I won't go trying to find it though. I never felt that it wore well on my skin. I finished the half of the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded. I didn't think I could do it honestly. It really helped when I brought it back to life with a spritz of elf Mist and Set. Almay Liquid Lipbalm was another one that took longer to finish than I thought. I took out the stopper and got ever drop that I could get out of there. It was nice, but I don't think that I would repurchase this again. Last are the 2 Maybelline Babylips in Cherry Me and Twinkle. These were pretty simple to get through, but like I mentioned before, I just want all of these out of my collection and I won't be repurchasing. They are just not as moisturizing as I would like.

Now onto the products that I didn't finish:

So I have the Garnier BB Cream that I really thought I would finish. However, towards the end it just got way to dark for my skin and so I started mixing it with my Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation for my next project. This is nearly empty so I am going to toss it because it is really old and it has been doing some funny things on my skin. By the time I get to wear it again on it's own it will be over 3 years old and since it has spf in it, I just don't feel comfortable holding onto it any longer. I did use a really large amount of it though. The pixi flawless beauty primer...I haven't used it since the last update. I actually put it away because I knew that there was no way that I would be able to use it all up and so i just gave up. I will use it form time to time just because I like the finish it gives my foundation when this is used underneath. I didn't want to just get through it because I enjoy using it and didn't want it to just go to waste because I am trying to finish it. The Rimmel Scandaleyes in Black is the next product that wasn't even close to being finished. I did put this on the back burner after the last update as well. I just don't feel like this preforms as well as my nude one. It always transferred to my waterline when I used it as a tightliner. Also it smudged underneath my eyes. It is the only one in the line that does that though, the rest are all really great. The Salon Perfect eyebrow pencil in taupe had steady progress over the last 2 months. Some days I really liked the way my brows looked with this, and others they looked far too heavy. That is obviously just user error though. Last is the Mac Studio Finish concealer. I made amazing progress on this since the beginning of the project. It is now too dark for my skintone and so I will be putting it on the side, but I liked using it. I won't repurchase though because I did feel like it was too heavy for underneath my eyes, but on the otherhand it is really good at covering my dark circles. I think once I finish it completely I will have to see what other concealers I have. I might get it but in a darker color. I don't know...let me know what you guys think of this concealer.

So there you have it. I finished 8/13 products that were in this project, technically 9 if you consider the fact that I am tossing the BBCream. I am really happy with that since my goal was to finish 7! I was really happy with the fact that I won't be repurchasing a lot of these products since that means that I will have fun trying to find new things instead to fall in love with. Life is too short to hoard makeup that you just don't love!

Have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!!

Love to Project Pan!! Finish 14 by Feb. 14

Hello lovelies, well I guess you can tell by the title of this post that I am joining yet another seasonal project pan. This one was created by Kristen Kay and GlamourWithGrace on youtube. I am really excited to be doing this and there are a lot of products so I will just get right into it!

So here they are. My 14 products....well 15 since I am counting 2 as one. I just realized that the paper got a bit cut off on the bottom, but those initial lines don't matter until they are in comparison to the next update, sorry about that though. I think I will post a picture of just the paper over on my instagram: subtlebeauty27blog so go follow me there for clearer pictures!

1. Revlon - Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. I am sure you all know what this cult favorite looks like. Mine is pretty old and all of the label on the packaging has rubbed off. I love this color, but am ready to start moving things out of my collection. This will probably be something I repurchase though!

2. Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer and Benefit - Porefessional. These are both such small sample sizes that I decided that I would consider the 2 of them together as one product. The photo finish is basically unused so you can't even see the line I drew on it. I couldn't figure out where I was with the porefessional, but I have used it far more than the other one. It shouldn't take me long to finish it up. I just want to make sure I use it before it goes bad!

3. Rimmel - Stay Matte Mouse Foundation. I like this product alright, I probably won't repurchase it once I am done. It feels heavy on my skin and can cling to dry patches.

4. The Balm - Nude Dude single shadow in Flirty. I love this as an all-over shadow. I love this shadow a lot, but it is taking up space and I just got the entire palette in a Hautelook order today, so I just want to use this up. Also I feel like it is a great color for Autumn/Winter.

5. It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Undereye. I have had this little sample in my collection for too long and I don't really care for it. I just want to move it out.

6. Benefit - Watts Up. Love this product, but I hardly use it and I don't know why. It is absolutely beautiful, and I want to use it before it goes bad. I also have it in a little pot from last Christmas when I bought the blush palette. It is a shame to just let them go to waste by drying up in my drawers.

7. Noyah - lipstick in Desert Rose. This isn't too old, but I probably won't use it unless it is in a project because it isn't a color that I gravitate to very much. I want to just get it out of my collection.

8. Mary Kay - Nourishine lip gloss in au Naturel. I love the look of this lip gloss. I want to use it before it goes bad though and again the only way that will happen is if it is in a project. I'm not sure if I would repurchase it when I am done only because I don't wear lip glosses very often and I just don't want them cluttering my collection anymore.

9. Maybelline - Babylips in Grape Vine. Another baby lips to move out. This is basically brand new and that is because it is my second tube of it. The first chapstick I ever finished was the one in this shade. It gives a nice wash of purple on the lips, a wearable purple for me. It is probably the only baby lips that I would consider ever purchasing again.

10. Bare Minerals - 5 in 1 base. I have used this a couple of times and it is a nice base. I don't know that I would buy a full size once this is out though.

11. Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Brightener. I like this concealer and will definitely be repurchasing, however I don't think I will get it in the brightener again. It is an almost white because of how bright it is. I have to wear it underneath my foundation so that it doesn't look so stark.

12. tre'stique - Mini-Matte lip crayon in Nantucket Nude. Another product I wouldn't use unless it was in a project.

13. Rimmel - Scandaleyes in Nude. I had this in a previous project and clearly I didn't finish it up. I have about 4 months this time around and I think that will be enough time to finish it up though. I do already have a backup of this since I love it so much, I thought it would be a good idea to add a product that I am already using every day regardless of if it is in a project or not.

14. Pacifica - eyeliner in Fringe. I have had this in my collection for a while. I thought it would be a good idea to add it since I have only used it a couple of times. Also I want something that isn't black right now.

So there are my 14 things that I need to finish by February 14, 2016. I think I can actually do this if I put my mind to it. I am only really worried about the Watts Up because it is such an amazing product that I don't need much. I will try to get creative with it though! Let me know if you are going to join in on the joy that is another project pan. Also, don't forget to check out the 2 youtubers I mentioned earlier, they are amazing at juggling multiple project pans and it is always encouraging to see someone else's progress as motivation!

Okay, so I completely spaced and forgot to pull out my eye shadow in Flirty from The Balm. Here is a picture of it. It has some use so I am not too worried about using it up.

Finish 5 by Fall Update #2

Hello lovelies, today I have my second update for my Finish 5 by Fall Project pan.

So, I have made a bit of progress since my first update. One thing you might have noticed is that I have repressed, yes again, my Stay Matte powder. It keeps falling apart and am so happy to be almost done with it. However, this way I can mark it a lot easier and can see more of my progress, I don't remember when I repressed it.

Here are the 2 products I have finished so far. The babylips was pretty easy to get through, my lips are looking more plump because I was constantly applying lip balm. I was kind of hard use towards the end because of the plastic, so I did end up just using my finger a lot more which I'm not a fan of, but who cares because it is gone now! The concealer is a lot more empty than it looks. I can actually see through the bottom of the container. Was really happy to finish it because I have never finished a concealer before, in fact it is I think the first not chapstick or mascara makeup item that I have ever finished! I won't be repurchasing either one of these even though they were nice to use while I had them.

Here are the products that I have left to finish in the next month. The Fit Me concealer is really close to being finished. The line I drew is not very accurate but oh well. I will probably be done with it this week. I made decent progress with the powder since I started the project. I finally started making decent progress on the Scandeleyes eyeliner. Using it to clean up around my eyebrows has been helping with moving the product along. As for the eye base I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but I have made some incredible progress on this. I decided that I only want to use half of it and so I really started focusing on one corner, where you can see that I have hit pan. It also has a pretty good dip in it overall.

I don't think I can finish the eyeliner or half of the eye base within the next month. The powder will probably be a little bit harder to get through as well. I will be happy with at least a quarter of the eye base gone and the pencil to be half of what I originally started with. We will see what happens in this next month though! Regardless I am proud that I am really sticking to this challenge!

Product Review: Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Hello lovelies, today I have a review of the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation.

The claims: took them straight from Rimmel's website. It is available in 10 different shades.
Instant perfect coverage that feels extra comfortable and lasts all day
- Blends flawlessly, seamlessly, instantly and easily into the skin
- Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours

I have used this foundation in many different ways; I tried with and without different primers, I used different methods of application: beauty sponge, buffing brush, fingers. I couldn't get this to work for me. I have what I thought was normal to combination skin, however whenever I use this I feel like I have the oiliest skin. It doesn't sink into my skin the way I like my foundations to, it kind of just sits on top. I felt like it never lost the initial tacky feeling that some foundations have before they set. I think this is because there is a serum built into the formula. Me and this foundation just did not get along. It broke apart on my nose, emphasized my pores and clung to dry patches. The thing about it that was the worst though was the fact that at the end of the night I was able to literally take off the foundation just by touching it. It would slip and slide under my touch.

However, my sister whose skin is a little more on the dry side loved the foundation. I was happy that it didn't just sit in my collection and take space. So I guess if you have dry skin this is one for you.

I'm disappointed because I was really looking forward to this foundation working out for me because of how much I love Rimmel. Guess I'll just stay on the hunt for a perfect drugstore foundation! Leave me some recommendations!
