Finish 5 by Fall Final Update

Hello lovelies, I write for you today my final Finish 5 by Fall update. This was a tough one, but I finished 5 products and my first project pan was a success!

I wasn't too worried about the concealers, and they were pretty easy to get through. I will be repurchasing the Maybelline Fit Me concealer but not the Rimmel Wake Me Up.

The Maybelline BabyLips in Coral Crush was pretty easy to get through, but I won't be purchasing any more of them until I get through my entire collection of them. I probably won't repurchase any even after that. I don't feel like they are as moisturizing as I would like.

The Rimmel Stay Matte powder was a mess towards its end. I ended up just crushing it and turning it into a loose powder to get through it. I have already repurchased, but I know that I won't be putting it in my travel makeup bag because the packaging is terrible and ruined everything the first time round.

be a bombshell cream shadow in submissive. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make it through a quarter of the product. I started to really pack it on in the end honestly. I am relieved to be able to put it away now though. It is alright, but if I used too much it would crease. I much prefer the Maybelline Color Tattoos over this.

I hadn't anticipated that the Rimmel Scandaleyes nude eyeliner would be so hard to get through. As you can see from the markings on my paper, I didn't make it through a lot. I like this product, so I am not too worried about having to continue using it. I already own a back up of that as well. This was the one product I couldn't finish, but I only needed to finish 5.

Overall, I think this was a huge success. I am currently working on minimizing my collection and put myself on a no-buy until I completely finish 10 products, so finishing these definitely helped. Also having to consistently use a product really gives you a sense of if you like it or not.

Finish 5 by Fall Update #2

Hello lovelies, today I have my second update for my Finish 5 by Fall Project pan.

So, I have made a bit of progress since my first update. One thing you might have noticed is that I have repressed, yes again, my Stay Matte powder. It keeps falling apart and am so happy to be almost done with it. However, this way I can mark it a lot easier and can see more of my progress, I don't remember when I repressed it.

Here are the 2 products I have finished so far. The babylips was pretty easy to get through, my lips are looking more plump because I was constantly applying lip balm. I was kind of hard use towards the end because of the plastic, so I did end up just using my finger a lot more which I'm not a fan of, but who cares because it is gone now! The concealer is a lot more empty than it looks. I can actually see through the bottom of the container. Was really happy to finish it because I have never finished a concealer before, in fact it is I think the first not chapstick or mascara makeup item that I have ever finished! I won't be repurchasing either one of these even though they were nice to use while I had them.

Here are the products that I have left to finish in the next month. The Fit Me concealer is really close to being finished. The line I drew is not very accurate but oh well. I will probably be done with it this week. I made decent progress with the powder since I started the project. I finally started making decent progress on the Scandeleyes eyeliner. Using it to clean up around my eyebrows has been helping with moving the product along. As for the eye base I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but I have made some incredible progress on this. I decided that I only want to use half of it and so I really started focusing on one corner, where you can see that I have hit pan. It also has a pretty good dip in it overall.

I don't think I can finish the eyeliner or half of the eye base within the next month. The powder will probably be a little bit harder to get through as well. I will be happy with at least a quarter of the eye base gone and the pencil to be half of what I originally started with. We will see what happens in this next month though! Regardless I am proud that I am really sticking to this challenge!

Finish 5 by Fall - Update #1

Hello lovely readers. A day late, but here is my progress on my Finish 5 by Fall project pan. I have been using the products for about 2 weeks now and I feel like I have made some decent progress.

As you can see there is a lot more container showing on both the concealers. I have been using them exclusively so that isn't much of a shock. I have also got a little more pan on the powder. My repressing wasn't the greatest and I hope that it doesn't crumble to pieces when I wear it down a little more. The eyeliner has not budged. I am wearing it in my waterline every day, but there is no progress on that at all. I think I am going to start using that to highlight underneath my eyebrows and innercorners. I have another 2 of these opened and I really want to use them before they go bad. As for the babylips, well my lips constantly look like I sucked on a popsicle for hours.

I switched the black eyeliner out for this Be a Bombshell eye base in Submissive. The eyeliner was really dried out and I had to press too hard to get anything out and it just wasn't worth torturing my eyeballs. This eye base is pretty similar to Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze (which is in my Finish 13 by Halloween project pan!). The consistency is a bit thinner so I have to really layer it. Also I noticed that my shadows have been looking really gold on top of this. I works for some looks, but I'll be happy when this is out of my collection. I am going to try to stick to using one side of this so that I could really see the progress on it. It has 2.5 g in here, a little more than half of a color tattoo, I don't think it will be too difficult to use considering I use it every day.

There you have it! I look forward to making my way through these products since they have been in my collection for a long time. Some goals for next time are to finish both the concealers and the babylips. I will post my next update on August 23rd....hopefully it will actually be on that day and not a day later.

Project 10 Pan Fail...Intro to a New Project?

Hello lovelies, as you can tell from the title of this post I have failed at my Project 10 Pan. In my most recent empties you will have seen that I finished the 2 mascaras that I wanted to use, so it wasn't a complete bust of a project. When I say fail I mean that I think I just wasn't going about the whole thing correctly. I started watching PrettyPistol86 on youtube and she is the Project Pan queen in my opinion. So I am going to start a new project based on how she does hers.

This time it will be one of those seasonal challenges: Finish 5 by Fall.

I will choose 6 products (1 will be a safety net in case I can't finish one of the original 5) and will only have 3 months to finish them. This will hopefully make me feel like I need to finish them and that I actually will.

1. Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder: I, like many others, enjoy using this powder, but the packaging on mine is broken and I already hit pan on thi so if I use it exclusively I will be able to finish it within the next 3 months I think. I have a backup waiting to be used!

2. Rimmel Scandeleyes in Nude. This is my favorite liner for my waterline and I use it just about every day, however I have had this for so long and I'm kind of worried that I won't actually be able to finish it. I will be marking my progress on the piece of paper that you see in the photo.

3. Mary Kay eyeliner in black. This is not my favorite eyeliner and it has been in my collection for way too long so I just want to finish it off. I have a lot less of it than the nude eyeliner so if I use it to tightline I should be able to finish it.

4. Maybelline Fit Me concealer in sand. I don't have too much of this left and I use this as my face concealer so I'm hoping that it won't take too long to finish off. I have a backup of this in my makeup bag in my purse. Will definitely be repurchasing when I finish off a few other concealers.

5. Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in fair. I don't have too much of this left either as you can see from the starting line on the container. I use this to highlight my face and underneath my eyes. I probably won't be repurchasing after I finish because it has some sparkles in it and when my concealer fades the sparkles are left behind.

6. Maybelline Baby Lips in Coral Crush. I have way too many of these and it is time I start moving them out of my collection. This one is a nice one for summer so it shouldn't be too hard for me to get through.

So there are my 5 products and my one freebee. I think 3 months will be long enough for me to finish the powder and the 2 concealers. I'm a little worried about the 2 liners. My goal is to finish at least 4 of these to make it a successful project. Let me know if any of you are trying to complete a project, I have been really into them lately and like to see progress it is motivating for me. I will be doing monthly updates from now on the 23rd of each month.

Here is a new picture of my Stay Matte powder because I had to repress it. Also it will be easier to see my progress now.
