Hello lovelies, it is a new year which means a new start on using up some more makeup! Last year I did the Makeup Use Up challenge and I had some specific products outlined that I wanted to use for each category. I have opted to not go the same route this year. I have made it more of a general outline that I will fill in as I use the products up. I used far more than was on the list last year and it was disappointing that the products that I had given myself as goals were not as successful as I would have wanted them to be. I am still going to be doing quarterly updates. I also added some more categories of things that I feel I have too many of in my collection. So, without further ado, here is the list of how many products I want to have used up by the end of 2017!
Foundations/BB Creams = 4 + 1 Stretch
Powder = 3 + 1
Blush = Pan on 1, Use up 1 cream
Bronzer = Pan on 1, Use up 1 cream, + 1 stretch
Highlighter = 2
Lipstick = 4 + 1
Chapstick = 3
Lip gloss = 3
Eye liner = 4 + 1
Cream shadow = 2 + 1
Brow products = 2 + 1
Concealer = 3
Lotions = 3 + 1
Deluxe Samples = 15 + 5
So it is a goal of 52 products and 13 stretch or extra products if I finish the initial amount. I believe that this is doable for me with where some of my products are at. I look forward to filling this in and getting a lot of good use from my products.
I would like to add that as usual, I am not putting myself on a low or no buy. Something about putting myself on restrictions like this freaks me out and makes me want to buy even more products. I have become more conscious about the products that I have and how many that I have, so I know when to hold back without having to set myself up for failure.

Makeup Use Up Q3 Update
Hello lovelies, another 3 months have past and that means it is time for another update for the Makeup Use Up challenge that I am doing this year. I have finished a few more products and I have made some serious progress on others. It is clear though that there is no way that I will be finishing some of these by the end of the year. I have made some progress though and that is all that matters.

Hit pan on 1 powder blush - decided not to keep going with this because I really like changing my blush out regularly. I decluttered the Dandelion blush that I had said I was going to focus on.
Use up 1 cream blush - Evelyn Iona in Ash - Hit "pan" on this cream blush.
Eye Liner - 4
Rimmel Nude - steady progress
Rimmel Black - Decluttered this because it smells weird, like a crayon, and it burned my eyes whenever I tried wearing it.
Revlon Charcoal - tiniest bit of progress.

Makeup Use Up Q2 Update!
Hello lovelies, we are half way through the year and that means it is time to update you all on my Makeup Use Up that I am partaking in this year. I have gotten through quite a few products this year, not just in this project, but in general. I am really making a point to use what I have and try to actually finish things up where I would normally use things until they are almost done and end up rotating them out before I finish them. Safe to say it has been a very successful year so far in the panning world for me.

Well there it is. Doubled the amount of products that I used, but I would have definitely preferred to have finished more at this point in the year. I think I need to focus and make more of an effort to put these products into my project pans as opposed to other products.

Makeup Use Up Q1 Update
Hello lovelies, well we are a quarter of the way through the year and it is time for my update on how I've done with my Makeup Use Up 2016 goals. You can find the intro here. So far I think I have done alright with everything. I mean there are products that I haven't touched yet, but I know that I will get to them and that there are quite a few products that I am sure I will finish by the next quarter update. I have made a couple of changes along the way, but I will let you know about those when I get to those categories.

Alright, if you made it all the way through that, thank you. I think I am on the right track with these products. There are a few that I need to start using, but I'm not too worried about them. I did decide to toss the Temptu liquid highlighter because it went bad. No matter how much I shake it up it stays separated. I decided to declutter the ELF duo because it is just not very good and is such a pain to work with. The bronzer is very splotchy and I always have to scrape off the hard pan on the top when I used it. I had to get rid of the blush because it is just a glitter bomb on my face. I have been reaching for more matte blushes lately and I have a couple of glitter ones that aren't as chunky if that is the look I am going to go for.

Makeup Use Up 2016
Hello lovelies, lately there has been a new tag going around called Make Up Use Up 2016. Essentially what it is, is a master list of all the makeup that you would like to use up in the year 2016. Some people have only chosen their numbers, some have chosen some products to fill the spots. I have already figured out all the products that I want to go through this year. Now I have my goals for each product type as well as a stretch item or 2. I picked that up from Elle is for Living. In her video on youtube she said that she had her main goals as well as the stretch goals, which are products that she is going to try a finish and stretch beyond the goals that she had set up for herself. This seemed like a great plan, and I decided to do the same. On that video she posted the names of everyone that is participating on youtube.

There is my list and some photos to go along with it. Everyone said they were going to check in around the 6 month mark, I may go along with that or I may update sooner and more often, like every 4 months maybe. I will see where I am at in 4 months and decide then. Getting through all of this wont put too big a dent in my collection as a whole, but I am excited to use these up this year and get to try new things once they are out or even repurchase a few of them!
