So It's Been 2 Years. Here is a Project Use It Up.

Hello lovelies, I know I've been AWOL for 2 years now. To be fair I've had 2 children in that time and things have been a little chaotic to say the least. My almost 2 year old is climbing all on top of me to try and get my laptop while my 3 month old snoozes in his play pen. I'm ready to get back into this writing regularly thing, but to be honest I don't know what the future holds for me and I can't make any promises. I will try though. So, without further ado, here is a list of products that I want to completely use up this year.

1. Benefit Porefessional Primer - so close to being done with this mini sample
2. Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Powder - just the edges of this powder left
3. Essence Say No to Dark Circles Concealer - There's still a little bit more to go on this concealer but I think I can get through it if I remember to use it.
4. Stila Stay all Day concealer - It doesn't seem like much left in that little pot, but a little of this goes a long way.
5. Naked Cosmetics Banana Powder - I was so close to finishing this up that I don't know what made me stop. This will easily be one of the first products to go.
6. SmashBox Photo Finish Primer Oil - For such a tiny sample this has lasted so long.
7. Loreal Infallible Setting Spray - This has been sitting in my collection for a while.
8. Seraphine Botanicals blush in Happy Hibiscus - I've never finished a blush but I imagine this would be an easy one to finish because it is so small for a blush.
9. Trestique Cream Highlighter in Maldives Luminescent - Been working on this for a while so theres very little to go.
10. Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation - Really pushing to get these sample sizes out.
11. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer - tiniest bit left.
12. Laura Geller Baked Balance -n- Brighten powder - I've hit pan along the edge of this powder.
13. Clinique Beyond Perfecting Concealer - another mini
14. Tarte Cheek Stain in Dazed - Very little left of this cream blush.

15. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - great eyeshadow primer
16. Coastal Scents Xpress Line - standard black eyeliner, just one to work through.
17. Buxom eyeliner in Come Over - brown glitter eye liner, another to work through.
18. Colour Pop eyeliner in Honeydude - Need to work through all my colour pop eyeliners, especially considering they don't make them in this packaging anymore.

19. Fresh Sugar in Nude - need to use this before the SPF goes off.
20. Nars Lip Crayon in Rikugien - Been really enjoying this so figured why not add it in.
21. Urban Decay lip liner in Ozone - Ive had this clear lip liner for far too long.
22. Kat Von D lipstick in Lovecraft - just want to use it up. Don't really care to have KVD products in my collection but don't want to just throw away useable items.
23. Too Faced Melted lipstick in Chihuahua - great everyday lip.
24. Colour Pop liquid Lipstick in Echo Park - need to use more of my liquid lip products.
25. Neutrogena Hydro Boost in Radiant Rose - its a lip balm lip gloss type product.
26. Sleepytime lip balm - it is chamomile flavored.
27. Bite Listick duo in Cafe and Pepper - want to use them before they go bad.
28. Bite lipstick in Date - same.

Well there you have it. 28 items that I want gone from my collection by the end of this year. With how close so many of these are to finishing and the fact that are a bunch are small sample sizes or minis,I feel really confident about it. Here's to another year of panning!

Project Ipsy Reboot February Update

Hello lovelies, I am a little overdue on posting my update on my project ipsy. Too be honest I am a little reluctant to do this because I still haven't finished anything and it is kind of discouraging and I am only 2 months in. I really need to buckle down on these products or else I won't finish anything this year.

1. Sexy Hair Spray Clay - Didn't use this at all this month.

2. Bella Terra Mineral Shimmer in Navy - Haven't used this either.

3. Starlooks Eyeliner in Amethyst - No progress to show here but I did use this a couple times. I just don't need to sharpen it.

4. J Cat Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - Same steady progress on this one. I think this was the only product that showed a decent amount of progress honestly.

5. Mally Eyeliner in Star Shine - I think I used this once. Silver eyeliner is just not the most everyday type of thing for me.

6. Zoya Nail Polish in Odette - The only other product where you can see some actual progress.

7. Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brule - This is still going strong even though I can see a lot through the sides of the packaging.

8. Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Feeling Very Cherry - I think I used this once this month.

9. It Bye Bye Undereye - Still the concealer that won't quit. I have been trying to make a conscious effort to use it more though.

10. Urban Decay Ozone lipliner - Somehow managed to make zero progress with this. I haven't been reaching for lip liners much though.

11. Bella Pierre eyeliner in Ebony - A little surprised at my progress on this one honestly.

12. Trestique Eye Crayon in Aspen Pine - I used this once and really enjoyed the look, but it barely made a dent in the usage.

13. Skone Lip Liner in Wine - Didn't use this at all.

14. Aila Nail Laquer in Mister Pookies - Made the littlest bit of progress with this one.

15. The Balm Liquid Lipstick in Committed - Not gonna lie I forgot this was a part of the project. I did use it a couple of times though.

Products that I will be adding in this month:

16. Coastal Scents eyeliner in 01 - Another black eyeliner. This is just gonna make the progress on all of this that much more difficult for me.

17. KB Shimmer nail Polish in My Life's Porpoise - As you can see this is basically brand new. Every time I try to paint my nails with it I am not the biggest fan. However, I used it yesterday and I actually liked it. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my hands are a little tanner here in FL.

18. Luxie Eyeshadow in No. 290 - I love this single and it has been a while since I reached for it. Kind of excited that it got added to this project. Goal is to hit pan not completely finish it up.

19. Model Co Highlighting Trio - I am only going to pan the champagne shade. I know I won't use the pink or the tan because neither one suits my skin tone. This is a good highlighter, but it has glitter in it so hopefully I can move this out sooner rather than later.

20. Pacifica Lipstick in Nudie Red - I enjoy this color so I am hoping it won't be too hard to pan.

There you have it. Like I said in the beginning the progress is really discouraging. Honestly I am due to have my baby any day now so I don't even know how much progress I will actually make in the next month either. I am gonna try and put more effort into it though.

Project 10 Pan Update #2

Hello lovely people, I have for you today an update on my project 10 pan. It has been a month since my last update and unfortunately I haven't finished any more projects since my last update. I do have some progress though so here we go!

1. Smashbox Primer Water - So close to being done with this. If I had worn makeup a little more I may have been done with this, but as of right now it is still hanging on.

2. NYC lipgloss in Nude York City - I am making good progress on this I think. I am starting to see through the sides of the packaging.

3. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - I used this once maybe twice since the last update. However since I took these pics on the 5th I have found the brush that I like to use with it and have been using this much more.

4. Jordana eye liner in Espresso Last - Not nearly as good progress on this pencil as last time, but still some progress. I just need to go back to using it to line my lash line.

5. Essence Lip liner in Satin Mauve - sort of steady progress with this lip pencil. I have a long way to go but feel like I have been using it a lot since I made these lines.

6. J Cat Big lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - same steady and slow progress with this lippie.

7. Tarte Cheek Stain in Dazed - why are cream products never ending?! I keep avoiding using this because it is an extra step, but on my more natural makeup days I really like the effect.

8. Tarte The Sculptor - Again a never ending cream product. A little less progress with this because there are honestly just days where I cannot be bothered to try and blend it out for ages.

9. Benefit Hoola - You can't really tell from the picture but the dip in this is giving me so much hope. I really do love this bronzer.

10. Yu-Be Lip Balm - This is a really waxy lip balm so I am not surprised that it is gonna take me a little longer to get through. I will be glad when it is gone though that is for sure.

11. Benefit License to Blot - I have been really enjoying using this as a primer in my t-zone. I don't know if that is how I am supposed to use it, but I like it none the less that way.

So there is my update for you all. My next update will definitely be when I finish the Smashbox Primer water which may be next week. I took these photos a week ago so I know the products will have 2 weeks worth of progress even though the posts will probably be a week apart. I may also give myself an easier product to work on to replace the primer water because some of these products are making me lose some hope here.

Project Ipsy Reboot January Update

Hello lovely readers. Happy new year! First post of the year is going to be a project pan update on my reboot of project ipsy. I have been working on these products for a month now and I have to say that the progress is seriously underwhelming and I am not on the best start with this project. I refuse to lose hope though and think the 5 new additions to the project are some good additions this early on in the year because they will take a little longer to get through. Anyway, I'll just get into the products now and try not to drone on about each item because there is a lot to get through.

1. Sexy Hair Spray Clay -  I used this once. I'm glad I used it the one time, but I really need to just get this gone because I don't know whether I actually like this product or not. I don't curl my hair often and so I know I don't use this as much and I thought having this in a project would make me use it more but apparently not.

2. Bella Terra Mineral Pigment in Navy Shimmer - I used this a ton. I hadn't remarked it at the start of the project so I don't know how accurate the red line is, but the blue line on there now shows that I used this a lot. I did a really pretty navy eyeliner look that was super dramatic.

3. Starlooks Eye Liner in Amethyst - I thought I was using this a lot, but eyeliners are near impossible for me to work through. Especially something in this tone and has this much sparkle. I have hope that I can get through 1/2 of this pencil by the end of the year.

4. J Cat Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - I thought I had used more of this than I did, but apparently not.

5. Mally Eye Liner in Star Shine - I haven't used this much as you can see. Silver eye liner will take me a little longer to work through.

6. Zoya Nail Polish in Odette - I think I made decent progress on this. I used it a lot because it is a neutral color. I do 2 coats when I paint my nails so I guess that helped me move through it as well.

7. NYX Buttergloss in Creme Brulee - I can actually see through the packaging a lot now. There is definitely hope that I will finish a lipgloss.

8. Nicole by OPI Nail polish in Feeling Very Cherry - You can't really see the update line, but considering I felt I used this a few times there isn't much progress.

9. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye - I feel like I am finally making progress on this concealer. I swear this was the never ending concealer for so long.

10. Urban Decay Lip liner in Ozone - I felt like I had to constantly remind myself to use this. I prefer lip liners that have actual pigment to them and don't think this makes any difference in the staying power of my lipstick while using this.

And now for the 5 new additions for the month!

11. Bella Pierre eyeliner in Ebony - This is one of my favorite black eye liners. I feel like this stays put best in my waterline.

12. Trestique Mini Shadow Crayon in Aspen Pine - A sparkly green shadow crayon. This will take some time to work on because I don't think I'm gonna use it that often, but I have hope by the end of the year.

13. Skone Lip/Eye Liner in Wine - This is another product that is gonna take some time for me to get through. I don't wear this color on my lips much at all so I am gonna try it as an eye liner.

14. Aila Nail Polish in Mister Pookies - This is one of my favorite neutrals and I love painting my nails with this so I don't think it will be too hard for me to get through by the end of the year.

15. The Balm Liquid Lipstick in Committed - I've used this a few times and it isn't my favorite formula. I don't think it will take too long though since it is such a small lip product.

Well there it is. I have hope for some of these products. I don't know that I will have any of them done by the next update. Maybe the concealer and lip gloss, but the rest of the products will probably take me a few months to get through.

How are your current projects going? Are you joining me in project ipsy?

Project 10 Pan Update # 1

Hello lovelies, today I have my 1st update for my project 10 pan. I honestly didn't think I would do an update for a month, but I have finished or hit my goal on 3 products. I decided that I will add 3 new products to replace the ones I finished so I can just keep working on products. I forgot how good it feels to finish an item or hit pan on something. There is a lot of products to go over though so I won't ramble any longer.

First the products that are either finished or I have reached my goal on.

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation - My starting point with this was the orange line so I didn't have too much left to work with. It lasted me literally 5 days. There is still a little bit at the bottom of the jar, but I can't get it open. I love this foundation and it will definitely be repurchased once I get through a few of my older foundations first.

Urban Decay Naked Basics goal to hit pan on shade Venus - This wasn't too hard because you can tell that I targeted my brush for a specific spot. I love this as an inner corner highlight.

Urban Decay Naked Basics goal to hit pan on shade Foxy - Using this to set my eyeshadow base made me go through this pretty quickly. Also because the brush I use to do this is a little larger the eye shadow as a whole is a lot lower than when I started rather than in one specific spot.

Here are the 3 products I am adding in to replace those ones.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer - goal to hit pan - I have some decent use in this bronzer. At this point it is the oldest in my collection and I do have a back up of it. It is a great bronzer that I think I can actually hit pan on in the next coming months with continued use.

Yu-Be Lip Balm - I don't particularly like the smell of this lip balm and I don't know what made me want to buy it that day on Sephora's website. I have a lot of this to go through though and really just want to use it up.

Benefit Porefessional License to Blot - I don't really know how to use this, but I am going to try it as a primer. I don't like the idea of using it after I have done my makeup already. This is basically brand new coming in to this project, but it is only a deluxe sized sample.

Smashbox Primer Water - I have some considerable use on this. Depending on how much makeup I wear over the next 2 weeks I think I can have this done by the next update.

NYC Lipgloss in Nude York City - I have been really enjoying using this. Don't know how much of it I have used though.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - I am using the heck out of this, but as is to be expected with these color tattoos they are nearly impossible to get through. I did clear up a little more of the side of the container though which is promising.

Jordana eyeliner in Espresso Last - I don't know how but I am running through this eye liner. I have never made so much progress on an eye liner before and I am just really excited about it.

Essence lip liner in Satin Mauve - Lip liners aren't as hard as eye liners for me to get through so I am not as surprised at this progress.

J Cat Big lip pencil in Caramel Mocha - kind of disappointed in how little progress this has. I felt like I sharpened it a few times and I've been using it a lot, but I guess not.

Tarte Cheek Stain in Dazed - Cream blushes are hard to get through so I am pretty happy with this progress.

Tarte The Sculptor - Another cream face product. I think I'll get through this one faster than the cream blush.

Well there is my sort of quick update on where I am with all the products. I think I am doing pretty well so far. I may even be done with this soon enough to join a seasonal project depending on how well this goes. I'm hoping to have the primer water done by the next update.

Project Ipsy Reboot

Hello lovelies, I have decided to reboot my project ipsy. It has been more than a few months since I have abandoned this project. I know the first year I did this I didn't do the greatest on it, but I did manage to finish some products or declutter if I found that I didn't like them after continued use. As part of the decluttering before my move in May, I guess a lot of products were ipsy products. I have also managed to finish a couple since then. The way I am going to attempt this time around is to start with 10 products based on oldest to newest in my collection. Each month I will add 5 new products. I am very pleased to say that I don't have enough products to add beyond the month of October and even for that month I couldn't add a full 5 products. I think out of the 63 products that I have I should be able to reach my goal of 50 by the end of 2018. Anyway, as usual, I am rambling way too much and I'm just going to get into the products now.

1. Sexy Hair - Spray Clay - I don't know how much is in this can, but it can't be much. It'll be a good way to get me to start styling my hair more.

2. Bella Terra - Mineral Shimmer in Navy - I really enjoy this navy blue pigment, but it is a pigment and it is navy blue which means I am pretty sure it will be impossible for me to finish this up. I am excited to see how much of it I can use in a year though.

3. Starlooks - Gem Eyeliner in Amethyst - As much as I love this eyeliner I hate it. It is such a gorgeous amethyst color but it has glitter in it and I see that glitter lingering underneath my eyes for days after I wear this.

4. J Cat - Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - This is taking me forever to finish but I have it in this project and in my current Project 10 Pan  so I am hoping that is the motivation I need to get this lip pencil out!

5. Mally - Eyeliner in Starshine - This is a silver eyeliner so I don't know how often I will actually reach for it, but it is really pretty and I am hoping to get some good use out of it.

6. Zoya - Nail Polish in Odette - This is a gorgeous and fun twist on a neutral color for my nails. However it chips after a day and half. I don't know if that means I'll be going through it faster or not but we will see.

7. NYX - Butter Gloss in Creme Brule - This is getting there I think. I can't really tell which is why I didn't mark it, but when I move the applicator around in there I can see about half way through the product.

8. Nicole by OPI - Nail Polish in Feeling Very Cherry - I love this polish, especially for this time of year. You can't really see the markings, but I am a little less than half way through this polish.

9. It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Undereye - There is no way that this should last me much longer, but it has proven to be the concealer that just won't quit.

10. Urban Decay - Lip Liner in Ozone - I still have this because I never really reach for it. It shouldn't take me long to get through though since it doesn't have any color and I can match it with any lip product.

So there are the 10 products that I will be working on to start this project. Some of these will take me forever like the eye liners, but I know I can get through others relatively quick if I focus on them. I will update this project monthly.

End of the Year Declutter

Hello lovelies, recently I decided it was time to update my inventory. I am so pleased that I have managed to cut my collection by a third. I decluttered before my move to Florida in May and haven't bought much makeup (until recently) and I have just been using a lot of it up. Anyway, while I was taking my inventory I thought I would do a last round of decluttering for the year. It wasn't much, but here are the few things that I have chosen to get rid of.

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer - This was on its last legs. I had previously been trying to pan this. It is a fine primer but it smells like glue. This was something that I could ignore before, but with super pregnancy nose I can't ignore any smell.

Temptu Liquid Bronzer - I enjoyed this while it was good, but it went bad. It smells of alcohol and no matter how much a shake it before use it still comes out separated.

Cover FX custom Cover Drops - This was a sample that was way too dark for me from the start. I tried to use it to darken foundations but there was so little product in here and it has always been hard to get out of the bottle. This also turned bad and is a little clumpy in there.

Colour Pop Super Shocked Matte Shadow in Hanky Panky - I was attempting to use this up, but it just crumbles and makes a mess when I try to use it. I have so many cream shadows to go through that it really isn't worth the effort.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Piccadilly Pink - getting rid of this because I really don't like the color and don't see myself wanting to even try to use it up.

Covergirl lipstick in Sultry - While I love this color it has gone bad. Just a reminder that I need to be using my lipsticks more instead of buying while I have so many.

Covergirl lipstick in Delicious - Again it went bad before I could finish using it up.

Hikari lipstick in Cabernet - A lipstick I got from ipsy a while back. I have never been a fan of the color. If it is gonna be a dark lip then I want it to stay that way. This fades into too bright of a pink for me.

So there are teh few products that I decided I didn't want to take into 2018 with me. I have plenty of products that I will be working on so hopefully a few more will be out before the end of the year.
